wo children were found dumped in a fish pond along Dumi road, close to Railway quarters in the Bauchi metropolis yesterday. Our correspondent learnt that only one of the male children aged between three and four years could not survive before they could be rescued. The survivor was however rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital Bauchi, where he is currently receiving treatment. Eyewitness accounts said two unidentified women and a man who rode on a tricycle popularly known as ‘KeKe NAPEP’ threw the two children inside the fish pond and fled. A villager who works in a farm close to the fish pond told newsmen that he and others saw Contd. on Page 2
