resh information emerged yesterday when first lady, Patience Jonathan, admitted for the first time that she almost died following nine surgeries she underwent in one month during her controversial medical trip to Germany last year. Mrs. Jonathan, speaking at a special thanksgiving service at the Aso Rock Chapel in Abuja, said
she underwent multiple surgical operations and at some point her doctors lost hope after she apparently “passed out for more than a week.” “It was not an easy experience for me,” Mrs. Jonathan said before the congregation which included top government functionaries. “I actually died. I passed out for more than a week. My intestine and tummy were opened.” “I am not Lazarus but my experience was similar to his. My
