APC alternative to PDP in 2015 - Gov. Aliyu Jonathan ambivalent over single term agreement By Lawrence Olaoye, Abuja and Iliya Garba, Minna

N

iger state Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, yesterday stirred the hornet's nest again when he declared that there is no more room for sit tight leaders to perpetuate themselves in power with the emergence of a mega party like the All Progressive Congress (APC). Babangida Aliyu, the chairman of Northern Governors Forum, in an apparently veiled reference to the controversy over a single term agreement between President Goodluck Jonathan and state governors, said the emergence of APC is a "stirring call to the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP)", maintaining that the political terrain in the country will be better for it. Post Office road, in Maiduguri metropolis, killing the suspected suicide bomber and two civilians. This came less than a month after one Abu Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Aziz, claiming to be the commander of the sect, coordinating its activities in the northern and southern Borno senatorial districts, said the group entered into a dialogue with the state government and resolved to

suspend all violent campaigns for peace to prevail. The latest position of the sect, which threw fears among residents, was contained in a pamphlet pasted in some areas of the capital city. Residents of the affected areas comprising Hausari, Gwnage and old Maiduguri Wards, told newsmen that they woke up Contd on Page 2
