he Shehu of Borno and Chairman of the Borno state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi, said yesterday that the Emirate had lost 11 of its district heads in the lingering Boko Haram insurgency. El-Kanemi disclosed this when the Chairman, Presidential Committee on Dialogue with Boko Haram insurgents and Minister for Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, led other members of the committee to pay a courtesy call on the monarch. According to the monarch, the slain tradtional rulers were killed differently and at their respective domains by suspected insurgents. He said that since the reemergence of the insurgency, state had lost its slogan as a home of peace, with socio-economic activities virtually crippled. The royal father suggested that members of the committee should visit Bama and Baga towns to access the level of socio-economic decay.
