Zhidu community Health Centre gets borehole, electricity
For some time, Zhidu community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of Federal Capital Territory had been longing for the provision of some social amenities like potable water, restoration of electricity to its health centre, amongst others. As the community was trying to fashion out the way out, Abuja Unity Lions Club came in. Lions Club approached CGC Nigeria Limited a subsidiary of CGCOC GROUP for sponsorship of some projects at Zhidu during the investiture of Lion Munir Kunle Balogun as the President of the Cub for year 2022/2023.
The company obliged and funded provision of borehole with overhead tank, partial perimeter fencing, and restoration of electricity to Zhidu Primary Healthcare Centre which have been issues of concern for the community.

Speaking at the commissioning of the projects, the Managing Director of CGC Mr Ye Shuijin who was represented by Mr. Chee Yuan the Director of Administration and Human resources said the company is committed to its corporate social responsibility with the host community adding that CGC will continue to be a responsible corporate entity.
According to him, CGC in the past has facilitated water supply to Kwali, donated relief materials to victims of flood in Kogi State and also distributed palliative materials during the COVID- 19 pandemic
The Managing Director commended Abuja Unity Lions Club for their quick response in delivery of the projects stressing that it will be beneficial to members of Zhidu community.
While commissioning the project, the District Governor of district 404A2, Lion Asiwaju Jide Bello congratulated Zhidu community on the provision of the infrastructures.
‘’Although, thematic core projects of Lions International clubs include: vision, diabetics, environment, pediatric cancer and feed the hungry, but through the need assessment, provision of water, restoration Electricity and partial perimeter fencing are as importation as our thematic project “ he said
The Chief of Zhidu, Philip Goni commended CGC Nigeria Limited and Abuja Unity Lions club for coming to the aid of his community.
He disclosed that the provision of 5,000 liters capacity borehole, restoration of light and partial perimeter fencing of the Primary Healthcare will be useful to the children, women and the entire community.
