Coach Nnamani Appeals For Support As Nigeria battle Nicaragua in IHF Trophy Championship

Coach Emeka Nnamani has appealed to Nigerians for support as the national male under 18 handball team begin their IHF Trophy Intercontinental Championship campaign against Nicaragua later today

The national under 18 male handball team will play Nicaragua today at 5pm (12am Thursday midnight in Nigeria) and Coach Nnamani believes his team have what it takes to win Nicaragua.

“The boys are adapting to the weather and the country should expect that the team will win our first match against Nicaragua with our level of preparation”.

Coach Emeka Nnamani said.

Coach Nnamani also said the players are motivated to do better in the championship than what the did in Kosovo in 2019 when they finished second behind Chinese Taipei with the support and prayers of Nigerians.

“I want to appeal to my people (Nigerians) that they pray for us as we are believe we can win the trophy and do better than what we did in Kosovo with their support”

Coach Nnamani said.

Nigeria’s Under 18 Male Handball Team Arrive Costa Rica

For IHF Trophy Intercontinental Championship 2023

The Nigeria U-18 Male team arrived San Jose, Costa Rica for the IHF Trophy Intercontinental Championship.

The team left the shore of the country from the Muritala Muhammed International Airport over the weekend and arrived San Jose on Monday as the competition commenced onTuesday.

The Coach Emeka Nnamani tutored side will begin their campaign on Wednesday against Nicaragua at 5pm (Costa Rica time) which is 12am Nigeria time at the prestigious BN Arena in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica.

Matches will be streamed on HFN TV via the website of the International Handball Federation.
