Governor Inuwa mourns Ambassador Yusuf Jonga
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with the family of the late Ambassador Yusuf Jonga Hinna over the death of the diplomat and retired senior naval officer.

Ambassador Jonga died recently in Kaduna after a brief illness.
In a message of condolence signed by Ismaila Uba Misilli Director-General ( Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, Governor Inuwa described the late former Ambassador to Italy as a fine gentleman and outstanding personality who carried out his military and diplomatic duties with a deep sense of patriotism and dedication.
“We have indeed lost a great man, a diplomat per excellence, who made great marks in his service to the nation. Even after active service, he continued to offer useful counsel that helped in the development of our dear state and nation. Gombe State has indeed lost an illustrious son”.
He urged the deceased’s family to take solace in the fact that the late Ambassador Yusuf Jonga lived a great life of service to God and humanity, and positively impacted many lives leaving behind a good name.
The Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, his associates as well as the people of Yamaltu Emirate, praying Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
2023 Election: Group declares support for Atiku

Agroup known as One Nigeria Group (ONG) has declare total support for the People Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The President of ONG, Muhammad Hassan, while addressing pressmen at the 2023 general elections world press conference held in Abuja.
He urged Nigerians to tread the path of hope for good governance that the nation has been aspiring for.
“At this juncture, I like to declare unequivocally that One Nigeria Group’s choice is the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. While we need to get ready to cast our votes for him in an overwhelming magnitude, we also urge everybody here today and all Nigerians to tread this path of hope for good governance that we have all been aspiring for,” he said.
According to him, the exercise will determine the fate of Nigerians in their yearnings for economic wellbeing, progress and prosperity.
He added that the election is very crucial to the future of the nation and the interests of the people.
“One Nigeria Group (ONG), a Non-Governmental Organisation and advocate of unity, peace and progress of our dear country, Nigeria, deemed it fit to put this programme together with a view to sensitising us on the need to tread the path of peace in the spirit of unity that we can not afford to compromise for any reason as the country embarks on this very important exercise.
He lamented that It is apparent that elections in Nigeria are usually fraught with violence and different kinds of misconducts that threaten the credibility of the exercise.
He warned that there is need for Nigerians to conduct themselves in civic manners marked by loyalty and respect for the rule of law to be able to achieve the purpose of electing the right leaders.
He called on the security agencies and personnel, particularly the Police, Army, Civil Defence, DSS etc to, as usual, conduct themselves in ways capable of guaranteeing peace and security before, during and after the elections.
The ONG president enjoined government at all levels to put all hands on deck to guarantee peace and security as well as a credible exercise to be able to sustain the country’s integrity and her Africa giant status in the comity of nations.
He advised that all Nigerians to come out enmasse to perform their civic responsibility to determine their fate in the democratic dispensation.
