CREATE A SET OF MEMORY/MATCHING CARDS
Theme & Concept
There is one habit that most of designers have—taking health for granted. In fact, with late nights, unhealthy foods, dehydration, caffeine intake, wrong sitting posture and constant mental health sabotage, it is difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle while pursuing your passion. Understanding their needs, ‘Designed to Thrive’ embraces the idea of a memory game for designers, guiding them to a healthy work routine and avoid detrimental habits.

SOLUTION
By using bold and playful colors, the game delivers a bold visual direction, encouraging designers pay attention to living healthy. Meanwhile, the graphic elements of usual designers’ tools are also incorporated to increase audience engagement and relatability for the game. From a goofy idea of creating a simple matching card game that is often designed for children, ‘Designed to Thrive’ elevates the concept of memory associations that speaks to a more profound issue about the design community.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After working on this project, I can broaden my creative skill set, utilizing illustration as a competence in the creative field. Most importantly, the project allowed me to explore new ideas and experiment with new design techniques, which became a valuable learning curve. I love how I was able to incorporate a critical issue within the creative community into a project, using their unique visual language to engage with their experience. Since I gained some recognition with this project, ‘Designed to Thrive’ undoubtedly opens more opportunities for my post-graduate education and creative career.
