Artistic Director’s Message
What a joy it is to welcome you to The Last Epis-
tle of Tightrope
Time, and the start of Neptune Theatre’s 60th Season! Both the show, and the season, are passionate declarations of “We’re still here.”
Walter Borden, born and raised in New Glasgow, has had a career spanning 52 years as a film and theatre actor, poet, teacher, and playwright. Active in the civil rights movement, Walter has navigated an industry not only as a Black man, but as a Gay man as well. His unique perspective, exceptional storytelling, and incredible life are just a handful of reasons I knew this beautiful, and thoughtful piece was the
right choice to kick off our Diamond Anniversary Celebration.
This 60th season of programming is full of theatre that asks questions, exploring themes of adversity and hope. The Last Epistle of Tightrope Time, under the powerful creative leadership of Director Peter Hinton-Davis, does a wonderful job of expounding on both.
Please enjoy. This is just the beginning of an incredible season.
