Meet your 2017-2018 Chairs

My name is Danielle Bae and I am so excited to serve as your 2017-2018 District Project Chair. My home school is Skyline High School (GO SPARTS), the same as our lovely Division 28 LtG, Heliqiong Sun. In terms of district project, I hope that together we will be able to reach our district project goal by the end of next March! The PNW has so much potential in fundraising and I wish to unlock your talents and truly strive to reach our goals. Key Club is a one of a kind opportunity that I have had the privilege of experiencing in my high school career and I hope that it will have an impact on all of you just as it has on me. Outside of Key Club, I lose sleep over my DECA competitions, try to not be lazy and attend my dance classes, attempt to debate at JSA meetings/events, spend all my money on buying school spirit gear, spend whatever is left on food with my friends and go to church on a regular basis. But all in all, fundraising can seem like a difficult or gigantic responsibility to take on, but I assure you that if we help and rely on each other, reaching our goals will seem simple! Please let me know if you need help or have any questions regarding our 20172018 district project. Or you can just contact me to talk, I don't bite (:!!

My name is Dennis Mach and I truly am honored and thrilled to be serving you, as your Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair for the 20172018 service year. I am from Division 21, home of the Bumblebees, and I also go to Mariner High School, home of the Marauders! Key Club has made a significant impact in my life, and I want to make sure that every future key clubber and member get that same experience. In Membership Growth, I plan on establishing an ideal goal with my committee for our district, which is to reach 13,500 Key Club members by DCON 2018 in Portland, Oregon. I plan on promoting membership resources, reactivating suspended/inactive clubs, producing membership recruitment videos, updating Key Club flyers and chartering new clubs. I will also work really close with our current District Treasurer to make sure that all clubs are paying their dues on time. As Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair, I plan on utilizing my knowledge of working as Club President, Divisional Executive Assistant, and implement my perspective as well with others, in order to have a more productive term. I also plan on hearing out your ideas on how we can work towards achieving active membership growth together.

In Love and Service,

Dennis Mach District Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair Pacific Northwest District Key Club International Email: membership@pnwkeyclub.org

Meet your 2017-2018 Chairs Hi Everyone! My name is Andy and I am absolutely elated to be the next Communications Chair at PNW Key Club! I am from Division 56 (Go Penguins!) and I am currently a Sophomore at Pullman High School. I joined Key Club as a Freshman with a goal broaden my social circle and serve the community in even greater ways. I can now say Key Club has fallen no short of the expectation I had. In fact, it has been even more life changing than I envisioned. Through Key Club, I have been able to strengthen my character, make life-long friendships, and give back to the community in a truly special way. There is no better package than what you can get out of being a part of this organization. This year, I hope to be able to deliver the same message I got from being in Key Club to everyone in the district. I will work to make sure all the clubs of the PNW, no matter how isolated or depleted they are, are able to be constantly updated and connected with the rest of the district. This will include sending out physical copies of resources to clubs, increasing involvement across all social media platforms, and creating more videos/recaps of major events for everyone to follow-up on. In my free time, I love to be outdoors, playing sports, getting involved with other school activities, and making jokes with friends. I can’t wait to work with you all and if you ever have any questions, ideas, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Here’s to another fantastic year of service!

My name is Vivia Zhu, and I’m looking forward to serving as your 2017-2018 Convention Chair! I’m currently a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School, and I’m a proud Division 33 Kraken. This past year, I’ve had the honor of being your Convention Aide and planning DCON 2017, and I’m so excited to continue and make DCON 2018 an even more enjoyable experience. Some of my goals for this year are to increase attendance (especially from smaller divisions), improve the registration and travel process, and create more opportunities for member involvement. Ever since I joined Key Club my freshman year, I’ve been amazed by the amount of spirit, compassion, and selflessness shown by each and every Key Clubber. That is why DCON is not only a celebration of the incredible work that you have put in to serve your community, but it is also an acknowledgment of your passion and dedication to Key Club. I am SO humbled to be a part of this fantastic organization and to serve all of you! If you ever have questions, ideas, or just want to say hello, feel free to contact me over email or social media. Can’t wait to see you all at DCON 2018 :)

Meet your Presidents Burlington Edison

I wanted to become president because I love to serve the community but I also wanted to serve our own Key Club and be a leader and an example in our group!

Burlington Edison

Tayler Wilson

I spent sophomore year as my Club's Secretary so running for President was really the next logical step. I felt that I handled the Secretary duties fairly well but the role of President still seemed a little intimidating. So Tayler Wilson and I actually ran as CoPresidents. Knowing that I would have someone like Tayler to rely on is what really gave me the confidence to run for the position.

Marysville Getchell Being a Key Clubber has made a huge impact in my life. Key Club has given me so many benefits and opportunities. It has allowed me step out of my comfort zone, by reaching out to my community, meeting and making friends, improved my communication and leadership skills, and of course deepened my love of service, Volunteering at so many different events helped me to understand more about my community and allowed me to blossom into a more confident and positive person. I am very proud to be part of this organization because not only are we making a huge difference in our community, we are also impacting and improving the world. Being Vice President this year has enabled me to assist the President which has given me a lot of knowledge on what that position holds. This year, we were able to experiment and try out new things in Key Club. I wanted to become President because I would like to continue building the progress we have done and transform Key Club into a more open and lively Service Club. I want to help members find that passion of service and give them a great experience overall.

Jamie Phung

Mount Vernon

I wanted to become president because I saw it as a good way to practice my leadership skills while also being in a positive atmosphere. I also really wanted a way to help my community and key club really solved that problem. I've been a member since sophomore year and I really love helping people.
