A letter from your Welcome back bumblebees!

Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! We are all heading back to school! I will be trying my best to attend as many first meetings as I possibly can. With a new year, comes new members, new experiences, and new challenges. I pray that we’ll all be able to go through thick and thin, good and bad, as one family! J Super excited to see all the things you guys will do from this point, on to DCON! Don’t ever forget the memories you’ve made, and the friends you met – you’ll cherish them for the rest of your life! T hank you for coming to the August DCM – we had great attendance, and thanks to Koda the Corgi, we got some cuteness in our lives, too! We’re already halfway done with our term – let’s push through, and make this a great one! YOU GOT THIS! In Love and Service,

Sea Choi

Lieutenant Governor of Division 21 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International

Secretary Reports due 5th of every month Presidents Reports due 5th of every month SEPTEMBER DCM!

DIVISION 21 SEPTEMBER 2016

A FEW WORDS FROM YOUR. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANTS; Hey Guys! All of us probably miss sleeping in and are already dreading these first few days of school, but for every negative, there always seems to be a positive! The positive part of school starting is the fact that our clubs can hold general meetings once again! Let’s welcome back old members and encourage new members (ESPECIALLY FRESHMEN) to join the Key Club family! Whatever your club’s goals may be in regards to membership recruitment, fundraising, and etc., I hope you guys will all work hard to achieve those goals during this new school year. However, as a Key Clubber, remember to never let those goals interfere with our most top priority which is service. With that said, I wish you all good luck with your first meetings, and I look forward to seeing you all at our September Ice Skating DCM!!!

ANDREW BAEK

Hey Key Clubbers! Hope you're ready to dive into August and drown into those AP homework! School is approaching very quickly, so it's best to make new goals for this school year. What is it that you want to achieve this year? Be more involved in Key Club? Get over 50 hours of service? Become the next international president?!?! Always strive to take the extra step. I can't wait to see what you guys achieve this school year! Say hi to me at future dcm's! DENNIS MACH

Bumblebees! Hello hello!!! Make the most of the last month of summer because it's almost time for a new school year!! I hope you all finish your summer homework and adjust your sleeping schedule on time so we can all be properly pumped up for the first day!! Remember to be caring and inclusive towards everyone -- new friends and old, family members, teachers, and dogs! And tell everyone to join key club because that's what we do best!! I can't wait to see you soon so we can spend another great year together! What do you call d21 key clubbers during the summer? HOT-BEES :^) VY NGUYEN

8 DIVISION 21 SEPTEMBER 2016

SECRETARY: Hey Key Clubbers! School is finally back! While that isn't the best thing, it means that Key Club can fully take off! Have you thought of how to recruit members? Send out invitations to bring in new members. It's especially important to recruit freshmen because they're going to be here the longest. Be on the lookout for your first meetings as well as divisional events. There will be a DCM soon! Come and spend your time with the rest of D21. Bring new members too! Dues are also due soon. To get good DCON seating, our division has decided that our deadline will be September 30th. Let's start the year off strong! That's all for this month. I hope you all have a great transition back into school and enjoy your Key Club experience THINH DO

EDITOR: Hey Bees! It’s already September!! WAHHHTTT??! Sadly, summer has come to an end but I wanted to say thank you Division 21 for making summer 2k16 the most memorable and by far the best summer I ever had! Thanks to you guys, my summer was very sweet!! /react-text reacttext: 1040 The August DCM has definitely brought me so much closer to you guys and I can’t wait for future DCMs! If you haven’t already, please check out the Division 21 August DCM Recap video on Youtube & subscribe. Anyways, I know many of us are not quite excited for school but that’s when Key Club comes in! Get excited! We’re talking about back to weekly Key Club meetings, more volunteering opportunities & events! I hope you all have a wonderful school year! See you soon bumblebees!! AILEEN PHAN

Buzz Recap

12 DIVISION 21 SEPTEMBER 2016

THE BEACH CLEANUP AND BONFIRE WAS HELD AT THE MUKILTEO LIGHTHOUSE BEACH PARK. IT WAS A GREAT TIME FOR MEMBERS TO TAKE CARE OF THE COMMUNITY BUT ALSO SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER KEY CLUBBERS!

RAYMOND NGUYEN | KENT-RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL Being at the DCM really made my day to be honest. I realized how much I love key clubbers and all the fun we can have while doing serivce together. It was funny though because Mulkiteo beach was actually very clean and we were there for a beach clean up LOL Overall 10/10 Loved it. #Bees #Koda

Bye summer! Welcome ba 16 DIVISION 21 SEPTEMBER 2016

HELEN PHAN | KAMIAK HIGH SCHOOL Hey there Bumblebees! The August DCM was my very FIRST DCM since I joined Key Club last year as a freshman. (I know I've failed for not going to the earlier ones However, going to August DCM was an AMAZING experience. Everyone was so super duper friendly and made sure that you were involved in everything, not leaving you out even for one thing. Even though Mukliteo Beach is probably the cleaniest beach ever, we picked up trash and were complimented on our service. I mean seriously, serving your community, meeting awesome people, and making forever lasting memories, how could you NOT join Key Club? JOIN KEY CLUB. Plus our Lt. Governor aka Sea is probably the cutest and most outgoing/friendly person you'll ever meet. You won't regret meeting her, I swear. She makes you feel like you're right at home. #keyclubfamily All in all, my August DCM experience was a huge success and I can't wait to attend the many more DCMs ahead and events that our Key Club officers have in store for us! P.S. if you like Kpop, join key club. WE NEED YOU GURRRL~
