A letter from your LET IT SNOW!

LTG

Hey, Bumblebees! With the cold winter here, I hope you guys all enjoyed the little bit of snow (and the snow day!). Always make sure to stay safe on the roads while you guys are driving to events, DCMs, and holiday parties! 2016 is already coming to an end, which means that we have a little bit of time to make the best of the rest of this year. I hope that you guys have been able to fulfill all your dreams and aspirations of 2016 – if not, I hope that 2017 will be the year where you will be able to do so. For all you Seniors, hang in there! Time sure flies by fast. I can’t believe that this is my 9th newsletter, which means there’s only three more left for me to make… I hope that with these last few months, I’ll be able to serve you guys to my best abilities. Thank you always for everything – I am overwhelmed with blessings. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday surrounded by your friends and family. Hope you will be around the D21 family, too! In Love and Service,

Sea Choi

Lieutenant Governor of Division 21 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International

DIVISION 21 DECEMBER 2016

A FEW WORDS FROM YOUR. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANTS; Hey Division 21! By the time this newsletter is released, I hope we have had some snow in our area. Since the holiday season is rolling around, it is a good idea to host a social just within your individual clubs or an intersocial with other clubs in our division. For example, my club, Kamiak, is hosting an intersocial with clubs of Mariner, Jackson, and Cascade to watch Christmas movies together in the library. Also, seeing over 120 of you at the November DCM was fantastic. Let's hope those boxes are all safely delivered to the less privileged children, so that they can enjoy a better Christmas! Our December DCM will be a holiday social with a white elephant gift exchange, so I look forward to seeing you all there! Please stay warm during the cold winter and have a wonderful holiday season!

ANDREW BAEK

Hey Key Clubbers!

Hey Key Clubbers! Seeing you all at the November DCM, bringing boxes full of toys and goodies made me really proud of our division. We are so close to winter break! I can already feel the cold air kicking in! Although winter break is coming up, keep in mind that you should always look forward to more volunteering, DCMs, and fun activities! And usually after winter break, clubs begin to gradually go down in attendance due to sports and other things. Be sure to keep your club level strong and fight through the rest of the school year! You can do it! Keep up the hard work Key Clubbers! DENNIS MACH

Bumblebees! Hello! It’s Thanksgiving month and I am thankful for all of you key clubbers that continue to volunteer and make an impact on the community! It is so uplifting to see all of you give back and care about local, global, and all over the place issues. November is also when a (honey)bunch of clubs do their officer elections apparently? So even if you are a tiny bit interested in leadership or being more involved, I highlyyyyy encourage you guys to run. Your current officers are such wonderful people that really give a lot of their time and energy into making key club a fun, inclusive place for you -- strive to continue their buzz-tastic leadership! Let’s keep giving thanks, service, and extra warm hugs to not only our communities, but also key clubbers and people who wish they were. What do you call a key clubber after Thanksgiving dinner? Chub-BEE :)))) VY NGUYEN

SECRETARY: Hey D21! I hope school has been going well. Winter break is just around the corner so persevere a bit longer! Get some volunteering and fundraising done beforehand before leaving for the long break too! I was so glad to see all the key clubbers that showed up to the November DCM. There were so many people and from many different schools too! I had a great time stuffing and wrapping my box with everyone there! It was so nice seeing all the boxes stacked on the big table in the end. Be on the lookout for the next DCM as well and LTG elections are coming up too! Hope to see you all then and have a great winter break! THINH DO

EDITOR: Hey Bees! It’s already November! WOW, time goes by so fast! Fall and winter are the busiest time for Key Club, there are so many volunteering opportunities available with many halloween carnivals, festivals, turkey trot, food banks, etc so here is your chance! Sign up for events so you can get a lot of hours in! I hope everyone had a wonderful halloween and collected money for Trick or Treat for Unicef. As for this past DCM, I am so glad over 100 people took time out of their day to attend the October DCM and make blankets for the kids at the Seattle Children’s Hospital! The smallest things can make a child so happy (ex. excited banana boy & avocado boy) so thank you so much for those who came and made blankets! AILEEN PHAN

WHAT ARE YOU THAN

WATCH THE VIDEO

AMARA PERRY | JACKSON HIGH SCHOOL Hey keyuties, I honestly don't know what I would do without you guys. I am extremely thankful that I have met such genuine people through Key Club. I entered my term only knowing the people from my school, but along the way I have met sooo many people that I don't think I could live without. We all go to different schools and live so far apart, yet we all bond through the passion of serving others. I sometimes don't think I deserve all the love that this club offers, but I hope to return and spread all the kindness and compassion back into the club. Key Club has made such a huge impact in our community and it makes me so proud; I would seriously become a super senior just to stay with you guys for another year. To whoever is reading this, thank you so much for being you!

In everything always give thanks 12 DIVISION 21 DECEMBER 2016
