A letter from your HAPPY NEW YEAR!

LTG

Oh my, it’s already 2017! I hope that 2017 is a year full of blessings and great things for all of you – 2016 has been an awesome year, and I’m sure this next one will be even better. With the new year comes new resolutions, new adventures – but I hope that you will all be able to fulfill those goals and dreams this year! When 2017 hits, that also means that our terms are almost over... Just three more months left! Let’s crank out the last of our energy for the rest of our terms, and continue to be a division that lifts one another and supports each other no matter what. Let’s be different and show others that we are stronger than ever, especially during this time. I cannot believe that my term as Lieutenant Governor is slowly coming to an end – it was definitely an adventure, but I did not regret a single moment that I got to spend with you, serving you. Let’s push through these last few months and make the best out of what we’re given! Love you, DIVISION 21! In Love and Service,

Sea Choi

Lieutenant Governor of Division 21 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International

DIVISION 21 JANUARY 2017

A few words from your incoming lieutenant governor! ANDREW BAEK | INCOMING LTG

Hello, Division 21! My name is Andrew Baek, and I am so incredibly honored and thankful to say that I will be serving as your next lieutenant governor. Currently, I am a junior at Kamiak High School, and I joined the Key Club family in my sophomore year because I wanted to not only take an opportunity to give back to the community that have provided so much for me but also to go outside of my normal comfort zone in order to further grow my character and leadership skills. Sea, Jessica, and other past lieutenant governors have built our division from scratch and developed it into one of the strongest divisions in the PNW District, and I promise to continue on their legacies and make Division 21 the division that leads by example, whether it’s service, spirit, or inclusiveness. Please don’t be shy to talk to me at the next DCM or even shoot me a message before that and get to know me better! Thank you so much once again, and I look forward to seeing you all soon, my lovely bumblebees!

Congratulations! Sorry I trolled you so bad… - Sea

A FEW WORDS FROM YOUR. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANTS; Hey Division 21! It’s 2017! I hope you haven’t broken any of your resolutions yet whether it happens to be being on time to school every morning, living a healthier lifestyle, or spending more time with family. My only resolution this year is to be more genuinely caring to everyone I meet. Whether it’s one of my best friends or someone I just happen to pass by every day at school, I want to show that person that I truly care about them and whatever may be going on in their lives. With that said, January has been a busy month for us bees with the Skate to Cure event and the LTG election! However, we still have our January DCM, so please look forward to that, and I look forward to seeing you all very soon! ANDREW BAEK

Hey Bumblebees! Hey Bumblebees! I hope you started off this New Year great with a ton of new goals! Remember to always be on a look out for volunteer opportunities and fundraisers for our new district project KCCP. DCON is approaching fast, with paperworks being due this February. Hope you're ready to win back that spirit stick! Keep on attending your Key Club meetings! The December DCM was amazing with a beautiful location! Seeing you all out there really makes me proud of our division. I hope to see you at the next DCM! DENNIS MACH

Bumblebees! Hello! It’s Thanksgiving month and I am thankful for all of you key clubbers that continue to volunteer and make an impact on the community! It is so uplifting to see all of you give back and care about local, global, and all over the place issues. November is also when a (honey)bunch of clubs do their officer elections apparently? So even if you are a tiny bit interested in leadership or being more involved, I highlyyyyy encourage you guys to run. Your current officers are such wonderful people that really give a lot of their time and energy into making key club a fun, inclusive place for you -- strive to continue their buzz-tastic leadership! Let’s keep giving thanks, service, and extra warm hugs to not only our communities, but also key clubbers and people who wish they were. What do you call a key clubber after Thanksgiving dinner? Chub-BEE :)))) VY NGUYEN

SECRETARY: Hey D21! Hey D21! It’s already the new year which means many new opportunities for new service projects! Did you guys all hear? We elected our new LTG for the 2017-2018 year, Andrew Baek! I know that he will serve our division well and carry on the legacy of the LTGs! Sadly, this also means that our old LTG, Sea Choi’s term has come to an end. I am very thankful to her and all that she has done for the division. Things like our DCM attendance was able to increase so much because of her. If you see either of them, be sure to congratulate them for a job well done! That’s all for this month. I hope that you all got to enjoy the new year and that your transition back from break was smooth and easy! THINH DO

EDITOR: Hey Bees! It’s already November! WOW, time goes by so fast! Fall and winter are the busiest time for Key Club, there are so many volunteering opportunities available with many halloween carnivals, festivals, turkey trot, food banks, etc so here is your chance! Sign up for events so you can get a lot of hours in! I hope everyone had a wonderful halloween and collected money for Trick or Treat for Unicef. As for this past DCM, I am so glad over 100 people took time out of their day to attend the October DCM and make blankets for the kids at the Seattle Children’s Hospital! The smallest things can make a child so happy (ex. excited banana boy & avocado boy) so thank you so much for those who came and made blankets! AILEEN PHAN
