A WORD FROM YOUR
Lieutenant Governor DIVISION 21 | PNW
Hello Division 21 Bumblebees!
I can’t BEElieve that the time has finally arrived… It is now officially time for me to BUZZ off as your 2014-2015 Lieutenant Governor. Three years ago, I joined this organization not expecting anything but volunteer hours for college credit, however, after remaining in the club, educating myself about the club and involving others to join the club, this club has turned into my favorite aspect about high school. No other organization or club out there allows individuals to lead and serve the same way that Key Club does. When people claim that Key Club is “student-led”, it’s not just a saying, its how the system actually works! Everything from running the club to organizing service projects to preparing and planning summer rallies and District Conventions, everything is done by students, for students, which in my eyes, is a privilege and an enjoyment! I would like to thank everyone who has or will be continuing to contribute to this club, division and organization! Without you, it would not be possible for an individual like me to successfully grow, lead and serve my community the way I have! To the Kiwanis, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your unconditional support and love for Key Club! I know that without an organization like yours, Key Club would not even exist so thank you for caring so much about Key Club!
To all of the underclassmen, you are so lucky to learn and join Key Club at a younger age because you get to maximize your time growing in your passion for service, which will carry on in your life past high school! Whether you know it or not, you are a leader! Sure you may be awkward, shy and nervous when it comes to socializing and trying new things for now, but that’s the beauty of maturing! To all the upperclassmen, you only have a short amount of time left in Key Club so how will you leave your mark? What do you want to be remembered for? Whatever the situation, never stop serving and BEElieving in yourself! I may not be your Lieutenant Governor anymore after DCON 2015 but Division 21, you will always have a special place in my heart! BEEhave and support Jessica with all your hearts! With Love & Service,
Selina Nguyen
PNW Lieutenant Governor of Division 21 Key Club

A WORD FROM YOUR DIVISIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD DIVISION 21 | PNW
Dear Key Clubbers of Division 21! I don’t know where to begin right now. Honestly I’m sad and excited… I’m sad because my term as your Divisional Co-Executive Assistant is coming to an end. The past year has been filled with so many memories of fun, stress, and amazing situations and people. Every single member that I have met has had an everlasting impact on me. You are all so amazing and unique in your own ways and I cannot wait to see you all flourish into what you will one day become. Seniors, I encourage you all to enjoy your last DCON and few months of your year to the fullest. Leave no regrets and most importantly, if you see something that you want, or something you want to do, or someone that you just have to know (either for friendship or relationship purposes ) do it! Don’t just sit there and think, I’ll do it next time. Do it now, make this the best end to your school year it’s ever been! Leave no regrets and feelings behind. Every one of you has so much potential and I know that you’ll go so far! And most importantly continue in the K family! I love you all so much, and I’m so happy that I have been able to serve you all for the past year! Agape, and live long and prosper! Can’t wait until DCON!
Kohta Hansen Kohta Hansen, Divisional Executive Assistant
Hey Bumblebees! How was your February? I hope you all had amazing service projects and other club events like you always do! I know it's a busy time during the year so thanks for continuing to participate! Sadly I won't be at DCON this year since my club couldn't get our paperwork in on time but I hope you all enjoy DCON and learn from it. Hopefully I will be attending next year. It's the end of Selina's term so please BEEhave and make her proud! It's the end of my term as well and I would like to thank all the officers and members for being so kind and welcoming. Thank you to all the secretaries who continuously turned in reports each month! You make my job so much easier and it was so fun meeting all of you! BEE sure to follow Jessica! She will lead you guys well at DCON and beyond! Thanks for everything and keep flying bumblebees!

THE
ELIMINATE PROJECT
WHAT IS THE ELIMINATE PROJECT? With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year. The effects of the disease are excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.
WHAT IS MNT? MNT is Maternal Neonatal Tetanus. MNT is caused when tetanus spores, found in soil everywhere, come into contact with open cuts during childbirth. The disease strikes the poorest of the poor, the geographically hard to reach and those without health care.

Preferred Charities Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) is a nonprofit organization that raises money to benefit hospitalized kids while increasing awareness of its member hospitals. All CMN Hospitals contributions directly benefit hospitals, helping to purchase up-to-date equipment, train staff, conduct life-saving research, implement outreach programs and provide health care for children whose parents can’t afford to pay.
The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. March of Dimes was founded by our 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, in the fight against polio. After the discovery of the polio vaccine, March of Dimes focused their efforts to improve the health of babies and has been successful with the help and enthusiasm of many grassroots volunteers.

PRE-DCON RALLY
At the February DCM, aka Pre-DCON Rally, 68 members in Division 21 gathered together to meet each other, learn cheers, eat food and make necessary preparations for the upcoming 66th Annual Key Club District Convention.
