These covers feature marker pen doodles on lined paper - symbolic of a real diary, bringing the book to life. This is also supported by the textured cover of the books - worn, with a binding on the spine.


These follow a simple two colour design comprised of typewriter font and simple, inked motifs. Perhaps they work best shown together as a set on a shop’s shelf. On their own they could be quite bland, but the inked style and contrasting colours convey young adult. The diary connotations come from the typewriter font, as if she’s writing the title’s quote.


Again, ripped pages and hand lettering convey a real diary. The intense handwriting . The contrast in colour helps to distinguish the title from the background text. The photo adds even more of a personal touch.
