Tulsa Polo Club, winners of The Women’s Challenge
Newport Polo has announced that Polo House Privé will be the title sponsor of the 2021 East Coast Open (14-20 goal) & East Coast Handicap (8-12 goal) Women’s Polo Championships, as well as entering a team in the Open division. The tournaments will form part of the Newport International Polo Series, which will be played 27 July – 1 August, with $2,500 prize money per tournament.
Women’s Challenge 2021 Tulsa Polo Club (Megan Flynn, Sarah Morelli, Karen Summers and Tori Summers) secured The Women’s Challenge 2021 0-4 goal section at Tulsa Polo Club on the weekend 12 – 13 June. The event saw 100 horses, 24 players, eight clubs and six teams take part.

WIP League Update The Women in Polo 2021 league is well underway, with a flurry of tournaments being played across the country. The league kicked off over 29 – 30 May at Rutland Polo Club with 12 and 8 goal tournaments, CBAS secured the 12 goal win, with Witham Warriors in second place, Rosie Ross was named Most Valuable Player and Esti played by Farida Rosso Baldachino owned by Lynne Patmore, chosen as the Best Playing Pony; Parc Fermé lifted the 8 goal title, with Hue & Cry in second

place and Knightmares in third, while Abby Foreman was awarded the Most Valuable Player award and Amy Legett’s Castana was chosen as Best Playing Pony. Over the weekend 5-6 June, Parc Fermé Ladies Polo Team secured their second WIP 8 Goal title of the series at Silver Leys Polo Club, with Emma Sanderson’s Babs named Best Playing Pony; while the 12 goal saw CBAS and Rex Homes take joint first place, with Lynne Patmore’s Pitu the Best Playing Pony. The league continued the following
weekend, 12 – 13 June at Tedworth Park Polo Club, which saw Maize Dulce lift the 12 goal title, with Millie Barfoot chosen as Most Valuable Player and Lolly StanhopeWhite’s Princess the Best Playing Pony; while in the 8 goal, Knightmares secured first place with Charlie Fraser’s Clarita the Best Playing Pony, while Tasha Ball was the Most Valuable Player. In other news, the Women in Polo 8 and 12 Goal at Westcroft Park Polo Club has been delayed until 18 – 19 September.
