Pomp de Franc
Pomp De Franc Cake Society got it’s name from Luc de Franc, who was Madame de Pompadour’s own private patisserie chef. So elaborate were his creations that they were deemed the only pastries beautiful enough for the stylish mistress of Louis XV and her fashionable guests. He was a superbly talented man, who didn’t just make cakes, but exquisite works of art. Here at Pomp De Franc Cake Society we have applied the same approach to our own cake making. It is all about making the most delicious and artistic cakes possible, but not just for royalty. Started just over a year ago by Katie Franklin, whos passions lie in baking and art, Pomp De Franc allows her to exercise her creative side to the full, using her artistic skills and applying them to food. Pomp De Franc has grown into an established high‐end cake company, based in East London where we make cakes for all events, from fashion parties, private views and album launches to parties and weddings.
