Who we are As an independent, research-based non-profit, our mission is to serve as an urban classroom that empowers communities, academics, companies and governments communities, academics, companies and government to learn and work together as they shape their urban environment.
We do this by offering a unique consultancy of participatory planning & engagement, collaborative design facilitation and end-to-end urban planning services.

FREC grounds are located in the old Satri Julanak built in the 1950’s. While the primary school next door is still operational, the high school closed it’s doors over a decade ago. Renovations have been done to transform the space and create a fun and friendly shared environment. Today the school has new offices, conferences rooms, activity rooms, kitchens, and ample space for urban gardening.
