The need for innovation in education in India

The reports which are published in recent days, are talking about the projected disappearance of jobs. The reason behind the disappearance of jobs is automation. It is said that by 2030, half of the youth will not have the basic Secondary Education skills which are required to keep up the new economy. Globalisation came with the advancement of technology and led to a continuously changing environment. It is now important to change our education curriculum. Our education should be inculcated with innovation. In this article, we will see the five major that can improve education.

Skill needs

The word "skill" is acquiring a new definition. It is very hard to find the workforce with skills such as critical thinking and communication. Right now 40% of the employers face this difficulty while recruiting. The education system has to capitalise the opportunities to bring in innovation in all levels of the education ecosystem.

Expansion of education system

The education system must expand to strengthen the education workforce. There is a huge demand for well-qualified teachers already. The role of the teachers has to be diversified to cater to all the emerging needs of the students. This diverging role must help students to learn rather than transmitting the content. The help of education NGO in India can be taken to reach the masses in every nook and cranny of the country.

The application of Technology in learning

The application of Technology in learning offers huge opportunities. This simultaneously increases learning and also improves Data Collection. We have to know how Technology functions across innovations. Social analytical skills can be acquired only by inducing technology into education.

Partnership with non-actors is critical for improving the educational capacity

This radical change can be bought only with Team effort. It will require full participation from diverse backgrounds. A good deal of innovation is already delivered by non-state actors. This can truly increase the availability of jobs, NGOs are playing a major role in it. This encourages the government to bring in a potential educational environment to meet future challenges. Effective partnership, civil society organisations, regulations and employers can work closely with the Government and educators to play an important role in building a learning generation.

Flexible accreditation systems are very important

Flexible accreditation systems are very important. Eventually, investment in many other learning platforms like open educational resources such as online courses can be supported by the whole environment to achieve results. In order to support the delivery of innovations, there is a need for responsibility from the countries, employers and industries to broaden the approaches to skill verification. It is important to increase the diversity of flexible learning opportunities to certify the Pathways of online learning which should also include the already recognised mechanisms. The help of employees, individuals, and certain sectors can be taken to recognise and certify online learning in the place of educational institutions.

We are in the urgency of bringing in radical changes to keep up the economy going. World Bank report has recently said that Indians are only 44% productive when comparing to the other Asians. This statement alone emphasise the importance of bringing in additional Investments in the educational sector of India.
