The Museum
The Museum project consisted of students selecting three works of art. These works were to be arranged within a “museum space” that reflected the qualities of the pieces. The pieces reflected in this museum space are, Olafur Eliasson’s “Your Spiral View”, Dan Graham’s “Triangle two-way mirror pavilion,” and Robert Smithson’s Enantiomorphic Chambers.

The Living Wall
The Living Wall began as a 6’x6’x8’ box, the box could be shifted twice to create entry, sleeping, and circulation space. One project between three people was chosen and combined with the ideas of the others. The form was then modularized and structured. Two projects per studio were chosen and built full scale. The full scale projects were built and transported to Grifith Sculpture Park where they were featured for one year.

The Library
The Library project was a proposal that stemmed from the study of precedents. Each student chose a type of library at the University at Buffalo and an another library that exemplifies the type. These two libraries were analyzed then the findings along with site analysis gave way to the proposed library.

The Mosque
The Mosque project is the study of a type. Through the analysis of what makes up a typology, we began to develop a mosque. The mosque can be simply a shelter with the quibla wall facing the direction of mecca, but today’s mosque is more of a community center that revolves around a common belief. The mosque was to be placed on a site on the campus of Buffalo State College. The site was analyzed and a concept was developed and utilized to create the mosque project in accordance with the type.
