One particular local group of people is more interested than most in the current construction work and that’s Welwyn Archaeological Society. This is due to the fact that the site used to be home to a Roman tile kiln and they are eager to see if the excavation unearths any Roman artefacts. Councillor Jean Heywood, added: “Once finished the new route will benefit all park users and perhaps encourage more people to ditch the car and get on a bike, especially for short journeys across town.” The route is being implemented as part of the council’s Watling Chase Greenways Project and is being funded by Section 106 contributions and other funds. Section 106 money is paid by local developers to improve local infrastructure and amenities. Whilst construction takes place in Parkfield, the path from the Byng Drive entrance to the Holly Walk will be closed but alternative routes are available. Work should be completed and the route open by midFebruary, depending on the weather.
Don’t see your money go up in smoke Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health but perhaps what is less well known is how much smoking may cost financially. At about £7.00 for 20 (35p per cigarette) even 10 a day will cost £24.50 a week or £1,274 a year. Even at the lowest rate of income tax of 20%, that means you have to earn £1,530 to smoke 10 cigarettes a day. Now that the Christmas credit card bills have arrived, NHS Enfield, have teamed up with Barclays Bank, to promote the free stop smoking service. The stop smoking service has over 80 sites across Enfield,

A BIG THANK YOU FROM VIC SMITH BEDS Many thanks to all our customers that contacted us for their short video testimonial. Don’t forget, if you haven’t done so already, you are still welcome to submit your video. There is still time – the more the better please help –as some of our customers are happy to do the video testimonial, but would like it to be used in store only and not on the web (we are looking for customers that have had our ottoman beds, Slumberland, Resteezzee, guest beds and oak bedroom furniture. Remember the address is vsbcustomerhelp@hotmail.co.uk Or if you feel camera shy – a written testimonial is always helpful too. Testimonials are very important to us because it helps us to reassure new customers of our service in store and just as importantly on delivery. At the moment, we are very fortunate that we are very busy, but we appreciate in these current economic times, many customers and business are finding it hard, so we have come up with an idea and we would like your feedback. We are encouraging people to buy British and buy locally and support local trades and retailers wherever possible. So we are going to launch a non profit making website where people in business can advertise locally and in turn give locals a discount. We plan on launching this in REEF FEB2012.indd 1 the scenes four or five months time. There is a ROCKY lot of preparation behind needed, and if you have been happy with a shop or tradesmen, that is independent and based locally in the Borough of Barnet or Enfield – as long as their postcode is in a Barnet, Palmers Green(N13) or Enfield postcode then they will be eligible. Please don’t sit back and think someone else will recommend them – in these current climates we strongly feel that there needs to be a sense of community, spirit to get us through. When shops that I have used for years are disappearing off the High St, it is time we all did something about it. The big stores do not tend to give you the individual specialist knowledge or selection that the smaller independents can offer. It has also been my experience, especially here at Vic Smith Beds that the quality independent is cheaper. I’m sure like me you have seen a business that you have used go, and afterwards thought, if only I had used them. Please be proactive. Remember, if you want a bed, you want a Vic Smith Bed. Many thanks Vic Smith Beds

Everyone can help in Hospice Week 2012
North London Hospice has launched its new ‘Hospice 100’ appeal to coincide with Hospice Week 2012 - a challenge to old and new supporters to raise £100 each. Hospice Week 2012 is from Monday, 27 February to Sunday, 4 March.
The Barnet-based hospice has an exciting year ahead. This spring will see the opening of the new purpose-built North London Hospice in Enfield, with specialist day services to complement its wellestablished inpatient services at Woodside Park. Hospice Week 2012 will include the hospice’s annual grand raffle, with £1,000s in cash prizes. There will also be a

‘Free Will Week’ with the help of many local solicitors. “This year is probably the most significant year for us since North London Hospice began 25 years ago. We will soon be providing day care from our new North London Hospice in Enfield - it will be a proud moment for everyone involved in our work, especially our exceptional volunteers and supporters, and our staff,” said North London Hospice Chief Executive, Douglas Bennett. “Many people don’t realise that North London Hospice is a charity - we rely on the fantastic support of thousands of people and businesses every year to continue providing specialist end of life care. However, these are challenging times and in 2012 we need that support as we expand our

work to provide new services and reach even more people in need of specialist care in Haringey, Enfield and Barnet.” With the launch of ‘Hospice 100’, the North London Hospice hopes to generate extra funds through all kinds of events in which everyone can participate: activities can be home-based, school-based, family-based and work-based – anything goes, from pub quiz nights and fancy dress parties to bingo nights and ‘no school uniform’ days. Douglas Bennett added: “North London Hospice’s very own professional fundraising team is at hand to help and
advise for any fundraising activities. We hope our local communities will rise to the challenge of Hospice 100 and help us in 2012.” Hospice Week 2012 can help North London Hospice patients in many ways: · £100 pays for two sessions of a patient’s 1-to-1 specialist support with a community nurse · £200 pays for an out-patient’s one-day complementary care and therapies · £250 pays for a hospice ambulance to take patients to and from our day services For full details, go to www. northlondonhospice.org

New Coffee Shop Café and Hotel for Enfield Over the last couple decades the high street has seen the emergence of the coffee shop as a place to meet with friends, relax or grab a bite to eat. From global corporations, to small independents the coffee shop appears to be taking over. Before the rise of the coffee shop, it was public houses that were seen as places to meet up, relax, chat or grab a bite to eat. Now local pub the Stag will be offering you a venue that combines both, “Coffee Edge”. “If you look to Europe and the continental style café people relax over a choice of a coffee or a glass of wine or a mix of both with friends in the same venue, so why not offer them a similar choice here in Enfield?” asks David Wright, owner of The Stag.

Raising Money for Charity One Man’s Success
Have you ever thought you would like to do your bit for charity? How many of us see people doing silly things for Charity: running a marathon, fire walking, or jumping out of a plane to raise money for charitable organizations and thought I could do something like that? EN Magazine met up with local resident Matthew Herd, who was inspired by a TV programme in 2004 and has gone on to raise £‘000’s for good causes. “In 2004, I produced a charity show called ‘Faith’. After watching a show on the perception and reality of homeless people, I was shocked. The programme inspired me to do something, to raise money for the charity Shelter. At 22, my experience in the whole production process was very small. Every aspect of the show I co-ordinated, from organising the acts, marketing the event and lighting and operating sound for the show. It was a steep learning curve but one that paid off. In 2008 after seeing the devastation of the earthquakes in China I decided to produce another show but this time changed
the name to Unite. In just six weeks Unite, was conceived and performed. It was a similar theme to the Faith show four years earlier with local talent on the stage, entertaining the audience whilst raising money for a good cause. In 2011, I got involved in the Tottenham’s Got Talent show and in a round about way ended up producing the show alongside a great production team. That night raised about £1,000 for the victims of the Tottenham riots and was produced in about two weeks!” “This time, Unite 2012, we are going bigger and better. We have hired Millfield Theatre for two nights, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th February, we want to raise more money for our cause this year by selling more tickets. Kindly the Shaolin Warriors, semi finalists of Britains Got Talent, have agreed to perform their new show ‘Shaolin Elements’ for free on Friday 17th. A 90 minute Kung-Fu spectacular features the most amazing martial arts feats ever... from flying through the air with amazing acrobatic grace, to iron bars smashed across heads, The Shaolin Elements show is not to be tried at home.”
“On Saturday 18th February Unite gets back to what it does best, getting the best local talent to perform on one stage, for one night, for one cause. This time we have performances from St Monica’s Players, Ministry of Expression, Acorn Theatre Company, Finchley and Friern Barnet Operatic Society, Enfield Light Operatic and Dramatic Society, plus a family friendly burlesque act. More acts are being confirmed over the coming weeks and the show is set to be amazing. This year we are looking to raise over £3000 for our chosen cause but this is only possible with the help of the local community. All people involved are donating their time and services for free and ALL profits from both shows will be donated directly to Nightingale.” The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre (www. nightingalesupport.org.uk), was formed by a local group of concerned individuals, who
felt that more could be done to support people affected by cancer in Enfield. We aim to work together with existing local services to ensure that we provide comprehensive support. The Nightingale relies totally on voluntary income, it can only continue to help in the community if it has community support. Unite 2012 presents ‘Shaolin Elements’ on Friday at 7.30pm and ‘Unite 2012’ Variety Performance on Saturday 18th February at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12, £10 conc and Family tickets are £35 and can be bought from the box office on 020 8807 6680 or online at www.millfieldtheatre.co.uk. Valentine’s
Valentine’s Day Walking round the streets, shops are already displaying products and gift ideas to tempt us to buy a present for a loved one. Has consumerism just got the better of us again? Was Valentine’s Day invented as a clever marketing ploy to make us part with our hard earned cash and who was St Valentine anyway? Valentine’s Day is believed to have its roots in the time of the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, February 14th was a holiday to honour Juno, who was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. The following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia. In ancient Rome the lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, one of the customs of the young people was name drawing. On the eve of the festival of Lupercalia the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Young men would draw a girl’s name from the jar and they would then be partners for the duration of the festival. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry. Under the rule of Emperor Claudius II, Rome was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. Claudius the Cruel was having a difficult time getting soldiers. He believed that the reason was that roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. As a result, Claudius cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome. Saint Valentine was a priest in Rome, in the days of Claudius II. He and Saint Marius aided the Christian martyrs and secretly married couples, and for this kind deed Saint Valentine was apprehended and dragged
before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. He suffered martyrdom on the 14th day of February, about the year 270. According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first ‘valentine’ greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with his jailor’s daughter - who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged he wrote her a letter, which he signed ‘From your Valentine’. Although the truth behind the Valentine legend is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It’s no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France. In Great Britain, Valentine’s Day began to be popularly celebrated around the seventeenth century. By the middle of the eighteenth century, it was common for friends and lovers to exchange small tokens of affection or handwritten notes. By the end of the century, printed cards began to replace written letters, due to improvements in printing technology. Readymade cards were an easy way for people to express their emotions, in a time when direct expression of one’s feelings was discouraged. The introduction of the postal service and cheaper postage rates also contributed to an increase in the popularity of sending Valentine’s Day greetings. In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their valentines would be. They would wear these names on
their sleeves for one week. This is where it is believed the saying “to wear your heart on your sleeve” comes from. Some people used to believe that if a woman saw a robin flying overhead on Valentine’s Day, it meant she would marry a sailor. If she saw a sparrow, she would marry a poor man and be very happy. If she saw a goldfinch, she would marry a millionaire. One of the most extravagant expressions of love was the construction of the Taj Mahal in India, which was built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in memory of his beautiful wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Work on the Taj began in 1634 and continued for almost 22 years. It took the labour of 20,000 workers from all over India and Central Asia – how’s that for a Valentine’s Day gift? On a more economical front, in Wales, love spoons of wood were carved and given as gifts on February 14th. Hearts, keys and keyholes formed the favourite theme of decorations on the spoons, which together symbolised “You unlock my heart!” It would appear then that on reflection, there is more to St Valentine’s Day than you
certainly makes for interesting reading. So to all our readers, we wish you a very happy Valentine’s Day and may all our female readers spot a goldfinch, sparrow or robin on February 14th!!!! Here are some Valentine’s Day gift ideas from EN Magazine. Find your way into your loved ones heart through food! It is often said that chocolate and romance pave the way to a woman’s heart, and everyone knows the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. 2012 Success
Achieving What you Set Out To Do In 2012 How are your 2012 New Year Resolutions Faring? Are you going to achieve your Resolution Golds in the Olympic 2012 Year? By the time you see this first edition of EN Magazine in 2012 you will have had at least one month to progress your New Year Resolutions. Chances are that they will have already fallen foul of the grey skies of January – a particularly hard month to make life changes as the weather is gloomy and we are all feeling rather flat after the bright Christmas and New Year’s festivities. Some of you might not even have made New Year Resolutions this year. Who could blame you, with all the gloomy media predictions about the UK and EU economies, and the news, in particular, about record job losses in 2011/12? Best perhaps to keep your head down and be grateful that you have a job at all? Or concentrate solely on getting a job rather than a job you will enjoy, if you are one of the many who are not presently in work? So what is the point of my title question and reading on? Well, I think that we all deserve the opportunity to take ‘me time’ every now and again, no matter how busy our lives, and we all deserve to aspire to be the very best that we can. So I am going to help you achieve your own Olympic Gold goals in 2012. Based on the principles of coaching top athletes and many years’ experience in performance and life coaching, as well as mentoring, I am going to suggest a simple approach that is proven to significantly increase your chances of making lasting improvements to key areas of your life.
First, do not repeat, especially word for word, any resolution that you have made in previous years and have quickly forgotten or abandoned well before Spring. Only make positively worded resolutions. Then you will be setting yourself up to succeed and not to fail. Also, do not think that you have missed the boat for 2012. Who says that the first week in January is the only time you can make Resolutions? Take some ‘me time’ in a quiet place away from the noise and pressures of every day life to think about what is really important for you to achieve by January 2013 (or any other date that seems more realistic for your circumstances). Imagine how you will feel when you successfully make each of those desired changes. Compare that warm positive feeling with how you might feel if you do not succeed; whether by not trying at all, by lack of determination or by setting too high a threshold for yourself. Compile a long list of possible resolutions if you wish, but be sure to hone that list down to those Resolutions which you really want to achieve: your Olympic Gold’s. Then, choose to set yourself no more than three realistic and positively worded resolutions to tackle in 2012. Write them down and include your desired end state, for example, I will be a healthy eater by the end 2012 and have better toned muscles. Always set yourself some interim milestones to check and if necessary, adjust your progress along the way. Include monthly review dates in your diary now, so that you take time
to do this key step. This will ensure that you do not simply forget about your resolutions or get distracted from your focus. Which inevitably will lead to experiencing the disappointment and failure, at
a time when you will want to feel good about yourself and your future. If you take this approach, your brain will start working immediately to support

Do you have media/sales experience?
I suggest that you also decide to give yourself a small reward for each milestone achieved or surpassed during 2012. You will certainly deserve a 10:05:35 treat for working hard along the way to achievement and deciding what those treats might be for you in advance and visualising them when the going gets tough - will help enormously towards achieving your milestones. They will be fun to do in themselves. Treats need not be expensive if money is tight, why not reward yourself with a luxurious soak in a scented candlelit bath room or by listening to nature’s songs on a brisk country walk? Be creative in your choice of rewards and stick pictures representing your imagined goals and celebratory treats on the fridge door, to inspire you every time you open it or pass by to do the washing up!
Throughout the year it is very important that you do not let yourself be distracted from moving steadily forward towards your chosen Goals by other demands; negative remarks from others; or your own negative thoughts. Think only positively; enjoy and celebrate what you achieve at each stage; and remember always that you deserve to succeed - no matter how gloomy the outlook, the economy or the weather - and you will find that you do achieve whatever is most important for you in 2012. You will have your Olympic Golds.

Cold dark mornings and evenings… how to escape from them By Sarah Vittaci
At this time of year, the chilly breath of winter, can hold many home-grown pleasures; all that mellow fruitfulness, and the beauty of a crisp winter morning as the sun breaks over frost-rimed fields, can truly be fodder for the soul. If, on the other hand, your winter vibe is more about damp, cold starts and trying to remember what a field actually looks like as you gaze at your computer screen, you might be tempted to take a break from it all. Well, why not give in to temptation? Whether you’re a sucker for the civilised charms of a city break, or after a more adventurous experience, there’s something out there for you. How about..?
Beautiful Bordeaux The region of Bordeaux is best known for its wines, but it has
much more to offer. The city of Bordeaux can make a great mini-break destination – and if the word ‘city’ conjures up images of grey pavements and towering office blocks, think again. Bordeaux has recently had a facelift (sorry, ‘work done’, as they say). The buildings, historic and modern, have been scrubbed up, the waterfront has had a Gok-style makeover, and Bordeaux can now strut its stuff on the city catwalk along with the best of them. A modern and lively city, Bordeaux looks to the future without rejecting its past. You can stroll through elegant streets surrounded by stone columns and imposing facades, eat and drink in a wide variety of cafés and restaurants, and then, if you like, hit bars and clubs until dawn – or head back to your hotel, which can be as small and bijou or as grand as you wish; Bordeaux
has both. Apart from walking, other ways of exploring Bordeaux include by tram (you can buy a day ticket to travel around, which is a great way of getting your bearings), or by bicycle, which you can hire from over 100 places in the town. You could also catch a bus to Cap Ferret (makes a change from the 313 to Ponders End Garage); or you can hop on a train to the beautiful, historic village of St Emilion renowned world-wide for its wines. If you’re looking for places to visit in Bordeaux, check out the redesigned waterfront, along the quays of the Garonne, lined with bars, cafés and parks. The main centres on the left bank are on the Quai de Chartrons, where a skate park has opened and an organic market is held twice a week, and Place de la Bourse, with its beautiful central fountain and the innovative Miroir d’Eau (a shallow reflective pool that doubles as a huge paddling pool for the city in hot weather). On the right bank of the river, a new municipal botanical garden, the Jardin botanique de la Bastide, which opened in 2003, complements the historic Jardin botanique de Bordeaux, on the other side of the river. The new and the old Bordeaux, is typified in the newly-chic Chartrons, area where the

traditional wine merchants do business. Here you can also shop for antiques, take a break in coffee shops, visit the Museum of Modern Art and eat in tapas bars and fusion food restaurants. In fact, there are lovely cafés everywhere in town, as well as by the waterfront. If you want great shopping, Bordeaux has the longest pedestrianised shopping street in Europe (Rue St Catherine) and a large pedestrianised Old Town. There are also places offering wine tasting (we are in wine territory, after all), and, for the foodies, a plethora of shops offering delicious specialities, from cheese to chocolate. Places to stay range in character and price from inexpensive, such as Hotel Normandie, to the more upmarket, 5-star The Grand Regent. Autumn and winter are mild in Bordeaux; you may not be able to escape the seasonal damp completely (it’s winter in Europe, what can you do?), but you’ll be wined, dined and entertained. What more do you want? For more information on Bordeaux, visit: www.bordeauxtourisme.com or bourdoux-city. com Or you could try…

Activities in the Algarve If, on the other hand, you’re looking for a destination that offers action, adventure and temperatures that mean you can leave your winter woollies behind, what about the western Algarve? With average temperatures of 19-22 degrees Celsius (that’s 66-72 degrees in old money, aka Fahrenheit), quieter beaches and coastal walks, you can get to grips with the real Algarve away from the hordes of the summer’s tourist season.
Surf
If you’re a surf dude with ‘tude, the Atlantic coast provides great and consistent waves for surfing, with the best spots found to the west of the Algarve, where plenty of established surfing schools hold expert knowledge of the secluded beaches and perfect waves for beginners. If you’re not experienced but want to learn, the Algarve Watersport School has a ‘Surfari’ daytrip which picks up learners from their hotel if they’re in a group of four or more. Prices and
dates depend on location, but pickups include Lagos, Carvoeiro and Portimao, and prices start at 55 euro.
Kayak
Keen on your kayaking? This can give you access to little-known inlets and coves teeming with wildlife along the Algarve coast. The Algarve Kayak Tour and The Kayak Centre take participants aged seven and upwards on two - three hour kayak tours departing from Lagos beach. Discover the colourful rock formations known as the “Algarves”, the famous grottos and caves of Ponta da Piedade or the Alvor laguna. Places available from 20 euro.
Cycling
If you fancy cycling that doesn’t involve dodging London motorists (who you suspect are secretly out to get you), then the Algarve is an option worth considering. The head winds often mean challenging cycling (although you’re probably used to that), but it will reap rewards. Many hotels have on-site bikes for
use by guests, although you can also visit Algarve Bike Hire, which rents bikes out for up to 15 days, with the lowest-spec bike available for 10 euro per day, or 90 euro for the full 15. Child seats are available, and all equipment, including helmets, can be delivered to your hotel for free if you’re based between Albufeira and Carvoeiro. Try cycling the rewarding 10km route west, along the coastal road, from Carvoeiro to the village of Ferragudo, which is packed with small restaurants serving fresh fish, overlooking its golden beach.
Ride
The Algarve enjoys warm weather in the autumn, which provides good horse riding conditions and spectacular views of the rolling western Algarve terrain. There are a number of riding schools that cater for everyone, from beginners to experienced riders.
Golf
golfers in the Algarve, but if you choose wisely you’ll find that often the courses will remain quiet. You’ll find warm weather on offer, minus the sweltering sun. The western Algarve tends to be quieter. Carvoeiro is home to three golf courses, while Vale de Milho is more informal, charging 30 euro green fee, and is suited to beginners, requiring only knowledge of golfing etiquette. The Gramacho and Pinta are 18 hole courses within 3 kilometres of Carvoeiro, accommodating holidaying golfers for approximately 90 euro per round. Discover more about the Algarve at: www.visitalgarve.pt. We hope this has given you some ideas about getting away from it all if you’ve had enough of gazing at the condensation misting up the windows of your car, while you sit on the North Circular, or you’re squeezed in like a sardine on the 07.45 to Moorgate.

SHOWTIME Private Peaceful
Sun 26th Feb 6.00pm Tickets: £12 written by Michael Morpurgo (2003) adapted and directed by Simon Reade. Fresh from two sell-out runs in Bristol Old Vic’s Studio Theatre, a sell-out transfer to London’s Soho Theatre, and a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Scamp are delighted to present the Bristol Old Vic Production of the oneman show Private Peaceful, a powerful story of hope by Michael Morpurgo. Private Peaceful relives the life of Private Tommo Peaceful, a young First World War soldier awaiting the firing squad at dawn. During the night he looks back at his short but joyful past growing up in rural Devon: his exciting first days at school; the accident in the forest that killed his father; his adventures with Molly, the love of his life; and the battles and
injustices of war that brought him to the front line. This remarkable book, winner of the 2005 Blue Peter Book of the Year award, is the latest by the third Children’s Laureate Michael Morpurgo. The inspiration for Private Peaceful came from Morpurgo’s visit to Ypres where he was shocked to discover how many young soldiers were court-martialled and shot for cowardice during the First World War. Michael Morpurgo’s reputation in the world of children’s books is unparalleled, having won the 1995 Whitbread Award for The Wreck of the Zanzibar, the 1996 Smarties Book Prize for The Butterfly Lion and the 2000 Children’s Book Award for Kensuke’s Kingdom. Silly costumes, physical comedy and outlandish props will combine as they take an in-depth look at Con-Dem-ed Britain - from rioters, to bankers, the occupy movement, to expenses scandals, not to mention plenty squeezed in between.
Join them for an anarchic hour of mayhem as they try to uncover the underlying causes that are shaping modern Britain. Supported by Middlesex University, Artist In Residence Scheme Dugdale Centre, Thomas Hardy House, 39 London Road Enfield. www.millfieldtheatre.co.uk Box Office 0208 807 6680

Over The Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story Tuesday 28 February at 8pm Tickets: £19, £17 concs (Online £18, £16 concs)
Theatre Productions Limited, is proud to announce the seventh sensational UK tour of Over The Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story. Since its first performance in 2004, this compelling musical play has received rapturous receptions and inspired cathartic outpourings of emotion. This is the poignant and moving story of Washingtonborn singer Eva Cassidy. By the time of her death, she was unknown outside Washington but within four years Terry Wogan discovered and promoted her haunting interpretation of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ to the top of the chart. This sad but uplifting musical play, journeys through her life, from her idyllic childhood growing up in a musical family, to her studio work with boyfriend and mentor Chris Biondo; to the exuberant live recording of Blues Alley and finally to her tragically premature death at the age of only 33 years.
star cast of performers and musicians, Over The Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story is an award-winning musical that captures the qualities of this wonderfully talented and spiritual song stylist. Sarah Jane Buckley stars as Eva Cassidy, whilst Pauline Fleming takes on the role of Barbara Cassidy, Eva’s mother, and Rob McVeigh takes on the role of Danny Cassidy, Eva’s brother. More than a musical life-story, Over The Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story is a show for anyone who has lost someone they love. A thoroughly entertaining and a truly memorable experience.
