GET HIGH " NO LIE Come get high with us on October 20th in a sailplane, yet! The Soaring Society of America ha~ generously loaned us two of their sailplanes and instructors, and for $9.00 per person, you’ll be treated to an individual ride. The fun starts at 9:00 a.m. at E1 Mirage Field (see map). Even if you can’t get up the nerve to go soaring, come out to watch (and you’ll probably be sorry you chickened out!) we’ll really be roughing it, so bring something cold to drink and some lunch. An Open Letter to PCA-LA Members and Advertizers: Don’t fret over the small size and limited content of this month’s Mini-Porscherama. The Willow Springs Time Trials were held during the week-end whe~ Porscherama would normally have been in the making, so we decided to give you a shortened version this time so that you would get it before all the October events had come and gone! Advertizers will not, of co~rse, be billed for October, and the ads will return in next month’s issue. That issue will also include, by the way, a big spread on willow, so if you have any photographs of that. event (preferably black and white), please send them to your editor at the earliest possible date.
