The completely-redeveloped fifth generation of the 911 GT3 occupies the top position among Porsche sports cars with naturally-aspirated engines. With an impressive lap time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife of under 7:30 minutes, the 2014 911 GT3 benefits from a new engine, transmission, body and chassis. The car now sprints from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds on its way to a top track speed of 195 mph. The 2014 911 GT3 will go on sale in the

As a technical highlight, the 911 GT3 features the first active rear-wheel steering in a production Porsche, as well as optional full LED headlights. Paradise Cove (cont.) have a great time in 4th gear at 55 mph. Challenging switchbacks and off-camber curves make the road a real driver’s choice. Unfortunately, when Encinal merges with Mulholland quite near Kanan, the speed limit drops to 45 mph, where the friendly officers of the LA County Sheriff’s patrol were quick to point this out to some of our entourage by means of a “60 in a 45 mph zone” speeding ticket. This was the only damper on an otherwise splendid morning.

Well let’s eat, then.

The restaurant provided ample parking for all, sat everyone inside and outside, and provided great food and service! All in all a smashing event! I think, though, for 2014 a route shift may be in order – possibly starting further west at Calabasas High School – this would get us started further away from LA traffic, and get more immediately onto the “fun roads”, and winding back on the full length of Mulholland Highway.
