The school is one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world. Stuttgart city council is also contributing 16 million euro to the foundation. Lutz Meschke, Chief Financial Officer at Porsche AG, believes that the recent involvement is simply a logical step: "As the main sponsor of the Stuttgart State Ballet, we are obviously very interested in working intensively with young, upcoming talent. After all, this focus forms a vital basis for maintaining the worldwide reputation of the State Ballet in the long term." For the city of Stuttgart, the endowment from the sportscar manufacturer represents a milestone in the process of constructing the new building on the site of the old school - a project that is set to cost around 45 million euro in total. According to Lutz Meschke: "Excellence can only be achieved by those who have received the best training, and it is therefore important for us to provide as much support to young talents in sport and culture as we do to our own talents within our company."

Ronald McDonald Presentation
PCA Escape 2013, Day 2 By Jason Zammit
As you may recall, our Porsche Concours at Greystone Park in June of this year benefitted the Ronald McDonald House.
Read Part One at: http://exclusive.multibriefs.com/content/pca-escape-2013-provides-thrills-in-la After the sidewall on my tire was damaged yesterday I felt I needed to return to the mountain to complete what I had started. I collected my repaired tire, mounted it and then headed up to Newcomb’s Ranch. Based on the previous day’s schedule I thought I could meet the group about 10:30 at their scheduled stop and if I were late I would see them coming from the opposite direction.

The second annual Zone 8 Weekender returns this January with the first Zone Chris 8 Concours McGranahan of the year, a driving tour and our annual celebratory Zone 8 Banquet. After arriving at Newcomb’s Ranch, I met up with Jeff Peck (PCA LA) and Marty Goldsmith (PCA Grand Prix, Tour Director) to plan our descent back down the mountain. I was privileged to be able to take the lead of the "spirited - group" and set a hearty pace down to the entrance of Mount Wilson Observatory. When I arrived I recognized Ted Lighthizier (Director) and Doreen Joe Shubitowski Pankow (President) from Santa Barbara PCA waiting for us. I needed to stop to adjust my camera and replace the battery, which allowed Jeff to resume his lead of the group and took the opportunity to say G’day to Ted and Doreen. Jumped back in my car Joe Shubitowski and took up my position as the tail vehicle. Just like the previous day there were rocks strewn across the road but I took extra care today as to avoid them. I caught up to the group as they entered into the grounds of the observatory; we parked our Charlie Martin Porsches and soaked-in the

The short way (about 30 mile) down the "2" to La Canada Flintridge, stop have lunch or the long way (about 100 miles) was back to Wrightwood down the North side of the mountains and then drive parallel to the mountains heading east. The air was fresh and clean with very few cars in either direction so we took advantage of this opportunity and let our cars express our feelings with the suitable speed for the occasion. I felt like I was at Six Flags on a roller rollercoaster with each turn better than the last. I signaled for Jimmie Mitchell (PCA, Grand Prix) to pass me so that I could pull over and take the camera off that was on the windshield. Even though I only took Charlie Martin about a minute the group was out-of-site. I got back up to speed in no time and then I notice a beautiful Seal Gray 997 going in the opposite direction, it was Jimmie. He doubled back to make sure I was ok. When I got down to the next directional change at Mt Emma Road I waited for Jimmie to catch up so he would not miss the scheduled turn that the group had taken.
