Meeting time will be at 8:00 PM. This is also the first meeting for the new Board of Directors. Be sure to come and see how they stand the test. For those of you who have never come to the schoolhouse meetings there is always plenty of spacious parking od the playground and also lots and lots of seating, cordial coffee hostesses, we’ll see you there. december meeting_
The December Meeting of the Los Angeles Region of the PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA was held at Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, 5170 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles~ on December 9th. The meeting was called to order by President Curt Kuebler at 8:30 PM. The first business was the committee reports. Vice President Ray Cooper commented of the good attendance and announced the agenda for the evening. Treasurer Ray Kornfeld said that we were still solvent and announced a year-end sale on all of his PORSCHE goodies. PORSCHERAMA Editor Ron Ramage, fresh from an eight day trip to the East, apologized for the delay in the December issue out, due to a series of difficult unforeseen happenings. Membership Chairman Don Morris reported that the membership files were growing by leaps and bounds. Technical Chairman Roger Wagner reported on a well attended and well received transaxle explanation presented by Curt at the November Tech Meeting. Roger also announced that there was to be no December Tech Meeting. Curt then called on Activities Chairman Peter Luelsdorf for his report. Peter said some nice things about the November event at Willow Springs and congratulated event co-chairmen Nick Friesen and Joe Schneider on a successful week-end. Peter then called on Nick to present a recap of the Time Trials and to present the awards. Nick thanked the approximately i00 workers who contributed to the success of the event and went on to present special awards to the dozen people who had worked the hardest. These were special tool kits donated by 2
the Good Guys Muffler Shop in Costa Mesa~
Nick then presented Dave Kalbach, awards chairman, who assisted in presentation of the Competition Trophies. A special plaque was given to Milt Minter for his helpfulness and his exciting exhibition runs in that 911R. Top Time Trophy went to long time active POC’er Harold Von Keszycki who upon receiving the trophy handed in his membership application to PCA-LA. Peter then announced the plans for the Christmas Party were going smoothly and arrangements are being made to go to Apple Valley again for our January event. Curt introduced the board members for 1969. They are~ Joe Schneider, president, A1 Gray, vice-pres., Lynn Bockemohle, t~easurer, Owen Champion, secretary, Peter Luelsdorf, activities director, Roger Wagner, technical director, Ken Fields, membership director, and Ron Ramage, publicity director. After a brief intermission Curt gave the floor to Ron Ramage who pre~ented a film and slide show of Willow Springs, taken by ~on and Bob Cogen. The meeting was adjourmed at 10:00 PM. One bunch is being brung up by that Rough Rider DON MORRIS frum the HUDDLE Restaurant in West Covina just off the San Berdoo Frwy. at Citrus 0fframp. Another bunch is gonna try to head em off at the pass, oi’ Son of a Buck R0N RAM_AGE sgonna bring them up thru Pearblossom. There meeting at the Golden State F~wy/Highway 6 ju~6tion, jest north of the San Fernando Valley.
