impressive arrays of 356 Speedsters ever assembled locally outside a 356 Registry event. The balance of the entries were pristine specimens of Porsches of all kinds — early 911s, 914s, 944s and more. Yes, most of the Angeles National Forest was ablaze and had been for a few days thanks to what came to be known as the “Station” fire. Still, it was a joy to behold and you should have been there! The inaugural edition of the Auto Gallery Porsche Concours at legendary Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills presented by the Los Angeles region of the PCA was an unqualified success!

With fifty one Porsches entered in judged and display classes from seven different regions of Zone 8, the goal of celebrating the sixty years of Porsche cars was very well met. Almost half the entries were 356s, featuring one of the most

After lunch came a raffle and the awards presentations, preceded by a talk from ABC TV’s car editor, Dave Kunz who spoke about Porsche history and models in development.
