Porsche is proud to present the new Porsche 911 Dakar, a one-of-a-kind sports car that is as comfortable off-road as it is on the highway. The new 911 Dakar is a celebration of Porsche's iconic win in the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally and a demonstration of the limitless possibilities of the Porsche 911 concept.

Limited to just 2,500 examples, the new Porsche 911 Dakar is designed to evoke the spirit of the first overall victory by Porsche in the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally, which also marked the birth of all-wheel drive in the Porsche 911. To commemorate this momentous win, the new 911 Dakar is offered with an optional Rallye Design Package, which is reminiscent of that iconic winning car.

The new Porsche 911 Dakar boasts a ground clearance of approximately 50mm higher than that of a 911 Carrera with sports suspension, making it suitable for off-road adventures. The standard lift system can raise the front and rear ends an additional 30mm, and its ground clearance and ramp angle rival those of conventional SUVs. The lift system is not just for driving over obstacles at low speeds, but is an integral part of the re-tuned suspension. The 'high level' setting is available for the most ambitious off-road adventures.

The Porsche 911 Dakar is equipped with specially developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres (245/45 ZR 19 at the front and 295/40 ZR 20 at the rear), which are ideal for challenging terrain and are highly cut-resistant. The chunky tread pattern is 9mm deep, and the reinforced sidewalls and

threads consist of two carcass plies. Summer tyres are also available as an option, also with two carcass plies in addition to the standard all-terrain tyres.

The new Porsche 911 Dakar is powered by a three-litre biturbo six-cylinder engine that delivers a thrilling 480 PS * (353 kW) and a maximum torque of 570 Newton meters, with a compelling boxer sound. With an eight-speed PDK and Porsche all-wheel drive as standard, the new sports car is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The standard equipment also includes rear-axle steering, engine mounts from the 911 GT3, and PDCC anti-roll stabilisation. The interplay of all these components ensures that the 911 Dakar is just as dynamic on sand and loose surfaces as it is on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The maximum off-road performance of the Porsche 911 Dakar is thanks in part to two new driving modes, which are selectable via the rotary switch on the steering wheel. Rallye mode is ideal for loose, uneven surfaces and features rear-focused all-wheel drive. Off-road mode automatically activates the high clearance and is designed for maximum traction on difficult terrain and sand. Both modes also feature the new Rallye Launch Control, which enables impressive acceleration on loose surfaces.

The 911 Dakar features a newly developed, fixed lightweight rear spoiler made of CarbonFiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), and the CFRP front luggage compartment lid with striking air outlets from the 911 GT3. Standard off-road details include red aluminium towing lugs at the front and back, widened wheel wells and sills, and stainless steel protective elements on the front, rear, and side sills. The side air intakes on the redesigned front end are also protected against flying rocks by stainless steel grilles.

The roof of the Porsche 911 Dakar features a visible 12-volt power outlet for the headlights of the optional roof rack, which is available via Porsche Tequipment.

ROOF BASKET WITH AUXILIARY HEADLIGHTS.

Ready to hold up to 40 kg: the equipment accessories available for the 911 Dakar, such as canisters, recovery boards and other luggage, can be securely fastened in the robust Aluminium roof basket, featuring a matt Black powder coating. If the stage lasts into the night, the integrated LED auxiliary headlights light the way through the desert.

Canister

Indispensable during every stage: the painted 10-litre fuel canister and the 12-litre plastic canister for drinking water with 'PORSCHE' logo. Both containers are fixed onto the roof basket with special, easy-to-open canister holders so that no time is lost when refuelling.

Recovery Boards

Essential for soft ground such as sand and mud: the robust plastic boards in Grey with 'PORSCHE' logo help with recovering the vehicle if it gets stuck, and can be transported in the roof basket.

Roof Tent

The foldable roof tent for two people is mounted on the vehicle's roof transport system and can be set up in just a few simple steps - the best conditions for achieving the top podium position. During the journey, the tent, mattress and ladder are stowed in the hardshell case.

Sticker Sets

For the 911 Dakar, three additional designs are available as decals that are reminiscent of historic Porsche vehicles from the East African Safari Rally of 1971, 1974 and 1978 and can be attached directly ex-factory or retrofitted via Tequipment.

Folding Spade

If you dive deep into the endless sea of desert, you need to have the right equipment. The folding spade including axe and saw is a true multifunctional tool - and should be attached to the roof basket within easy reach on every off-road adventure.
