Summary
The purpose of this research is to analyze public health reform policies in three countries: Brazil, Colombia y Perú, through a comparative study with bibliographic references about the reforms of the health systems until now some days. Basing on the new definition of the WHO. in which "health" is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, were necessary changes in the strategy which affected the systems in each country.
This paper describes the context and the generalities of the reform process in Latin America, and is presented in a detailed manner how the reform occurred in Brazil, Colombia and Peru, answering the following questions: How is the system? Which are their historical antecedents? Why the old model did not work? Which were the actors of the process and what was the choice of the strategy? Finally, in the results, a cross-s
