Theyardwassurrounded byawhitepicketfence.On threesidesdunegrasscameup totheedgeofthefence.Inthefront theAtlanticOceansweptinonasmoothflat beach.Eachspringshereplacedherannuals. Ever)'summerthesearosescametolifein whiteandpinknestledamonggreenleaves whichgrewalongtheoutsideofthefence. Theyweretenacious happyflowers thatlovedthe sand)soils, wantingmore thananything elsetobeallowed tocomeinsidethe fencebutwereconvincedtwiceaweekbya push-reellawnmowertostayontheirside.
