IwasborninBostonandgrewupin Danvers,Massachusetts.Iwenttocollegeat theUniversityofVirginia,whereIhada radioshowontheschoolstation.Iwasn't exactlysureIwantedtopursueacareerin radio,butin1985Isubmittedaresumeto WBLMwhichwasthenbasedinAuburn. Backthen,WBLMwastheonebigrockand-rollstationinsouthernMaine.Imust havecaughtthemonagoodday,because theyhiredmerightaway.ImovedtoPort¬ landandcommutedtoAuburneveryday.

Shortly after your arrival, WBLM built their highly touted 100,000-watt tower. Theyflippedtheswitchforthenewtower rightbeforemyshow,soIwasthefirstvoice anyoneheardontirenewsystem-prettyexcit¬ ing!ThenwemovedtoOneCityCenter.

How long were you with WBLM? Iwastherefrom1985to1990,andthenI hadababyandtookthreeyearsoff.I'dbe¬ comealittledisillusionedwiththemusic wewereplayingonBLM.Then,inearly 1994,1receivedacallfromBLM'sstation manageraskingmetocomebackandDJ foranewadultcontemporarystation[Ful¬ lerBroadcastingwas]startingcalledWCl'Y.
