The Tallinn Print Triennial attempts to record the current situation in contemporary art at the time of worldwide economic crisis. ‘For Love Not Money’ focuses on today’s graphic art in the wider environment of contemporary art. The programme is compiled by the international curator Simon Rees together with Eve Kask and Eha Komissarov.

Held in the venue of the famous Song Festival grounds, where Estonian Singing Revolution took place 20 years ago, ‘Eksperimenta!’ represents a similar breakthrough, this time through education.

One of the biggest festivals of its kind in the Baltic and Nordic countries aims to preserve customs, heritage and local identity, trying to match ancient intellectual values and modern life. It has 200 performers, 100 concerts, over 20 000 visitors, workshops, a film programme, night university, fairy-tales, handicraft and photographic exhibitions. This year‘s topic is rhythm and pulse.

The festival organises a harmonicaplaying competition called BalticNordic Open. The programme includes a gala concert, open-air concerts and workshops, plus a folk music concert where the prizes are awarded by the audience.
