ANNUAL REPORT 2018
MISSION STATEMENT The aim of Portsmouth Abbey School is to help young men and women grow in knowledge and grace. Grounded in the Catholic faith and 1,500-year-old Benedictine intellectual tradition, the School fosters: REVERENCE for God and the human person Our conviction at Portsmouth Abbey School is that God is at the very center of the human search for meaning and that the perennial human questions — Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? How do I get there? — all find their answer in God. Accordingly, we seek to promote in the lives of our students a lifelong search for God as the beginning and end of their lives. This spiritual education of the heart, soul, and mind is the basis for intellectual and academic work at Portsmouth Abbey School. REspect for learning and order We believe it is vitally important to introduce our students to the classics and the best of the Western intellectual tradition, which includes both the humanities and the sciences. Portsmouth Abbey School develops the mind, heart and body through an integrated and ordered progression of learning in a structured environment. Our students are provided an excellent opportunity to discover fundamental truths, beliefs and texts that have challenged every generation since antiquity, and to develop an abiding love of learning. REsponsibility for the shared experience of community life We are committed to living as a community that values each of its members. Portsmouth Abbey School is inspired by a monastic presence and the Benedictine tradition of common life that includes prayer, study, work and recreation. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds while encouraging an appreciation for the Catholic faith. We seek to honor the dignity of every person as a child of God, and strive to nurture the talents of each individual for service and leadership in our own community and in the larger world.

From the Board of Regents Chair Saint Benedict taught us the virtue of humility. It is in that spirit, and also with gratitude, that I write to you. Portsmouth Abbey School continues to be blessed with an abundance of talent and treasure, reflected most importantly through our students. Our School opened with full enrollment once again, welcoming more than 360 young men and women from fourteen countries and twenty-one states shortly after Labor Day, all of whom are poised to grow in the knowledge and grace that only an Abbey education can provide.
I am pleased to report for the fifth consecutive year the Annual Fund has exceeded its goal and achieved yet another record. This incredible support allows the School to continue growing in excellence, to provide the best curricular and extra-curricular programs possible, to meet unexpected challenges, and to take advantage of strategic opportunities. The new Science Building, scheduled to open in January of 2019, is nearly three quarters complete, both in terms of construction and fundraising toward our twenty million dollar goal.
Your Board of Regents remains diligent and committed to the long term viability of the School and its financial health. This group of individuals has continually achieved a 98% attendance record at our quarterly meetings, often 100%. I am grateful to each and every member and in awe of their expertise and willingness to serve.
In closing, I invite you to please come back to campus. It is meaningful for our students to see those who have passed through our School before them return. It would also be meaningful for you to see the current environment in which our students thrive. Last but certainly not least, please remember us in your prayers and philanthropic endeavors. We are a mission based school and we rely heavily on both.
Our monastic community lends its support in ways too numerous to detail. We continually rely on them for their wisdom, institutional memory, and spiritual guidance. The emerging relationship with Saint Louis Abbey has been invaluable. We have two new monks in monastic residence with the promise of more to come. Our faculty remains engaged and excited as they continue to provide a unique and inspiring educational opportunity for our students. This is certainly evidenced by our continued strong college placement results, highlighted this year by the fact that over half of the Class of 2018 was accepted to our nation’s most competitive colleges as ranked by Barron’s.
Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity are invaluable. Thank you for everything that you do for the School. We hope that you will visit us on Cory’s Lane and see the fruits of our collective labors first-hand!

From the Headmaster With another transformational year underway for Portsmouth Abbey School, I am often reminded how fortunate we are as a school community. Our talented group of faculty, coaches, houseparents, and mentors–not to mention our monastic community–are committed to ensuring the personal and academic growth of each student. By combining academic excellence and character formation under the auspices of our Benedictine monastery, our 360 students are able to experience an exceptional educational opportunity unique to the Abbey. And to top it off, our new Science Building is almost complete, set to open in just a few short months. As we look forward, we see that Portsmouth Abbey School is experiencing tremendous growth. But if there is one thing that has remained unchanged, it is the strength of the partnership between Portsmouth Abbey School and its generous philanthropic supporters. This is a bond that has grown significantly – to the great benefit of the School’s mission. Under the leadership of the Chair of the Board of Regents Chris Behnke ’81, P’12 ’15 ’19 and Chair of the Annual Fund Phil Moyles ’82, our 2017-18 Annual Fund surpassed its goal by raising $1,702,090, setting a record for the fifth consecutive year. Thank you to the 1,616 members of our community who so generously contributed to the Annual Fund, making this success possible. Our continued success is also made possible by a network of more than 200 alumni and parent volunteers whose commitment to the School continues to be the

cornerstone to achieving our goals. I especially want to thank Chair of the Alumni Leadership Council Michael Anselmi ’97 and Chairs of the Parents’ Association Deb and Chris Falvey P’18 ’20 whose devotion and leadership led to increased engagement from alumni, as well as 79% parent participation in the 2017-18 Annual Fund, a new School record. In addition to current-use support, the School also received gifts in support of endowments, scholarships, and capital improvements, the most noteworthy of which is our new Science Building. At $20M, this is the single largest capital project that the School has ever undertaken. Expected to open in the winter of 2019, the Science Building will add 7 labs and 7 classrooms, a multi-purpose seminar room, and a Science and Humanities Commons connecting the building with the Burden Classroom Building signifying the interdisciplinary foundation of the Abbey’s curriculum. We are so appreciative of the generosity of the donors who contributed $14.5M to this project so far, and we look forward to closing out the remainder of our fundraising efforts over this fiscal year. This is truly an exciting time for Portsmouth Abbey School and our community. I encourage you to come to campus to see firsthand how your support makes a difference to our community and ensures the fulfillment of our mission of helping young men and women grow in knowledge and grace.
In Christ and St. Benedict,
Daniel McDonough headmaster

Profile
Andy and Julie Wei Many parents and graduates often wonder how they can stay connected to their school if they are living far away. In the case of Andy and Julie Wei, “far away” from Portsmouth means roughly 7,000 miles in Beijing, China. That distance, however, does not keep them at arm’s length of the School, their son Alex ’20, or other Abbey families. Andy and Julie have spent the last two years drawing local and Chinese families closer, bridging the gap between foreign parents and the Abbey community, and working tirelessly to support their son’s Abbey experience. In 2016, Andy and Julie graciously hosted a parent reception for the Science Building campaign in their hometown of Beijing. The event drew in a crowd that might otherwise have been distant from Portsmouth Abbey, and as a result, more families are now more connected than ever to life on Cory’s Lane. Julie spent much time calling and contacting new students’ parents, encouraging them to become involved, and connecting with Chinese and US families alike. They hope to continue these events in the future with an eye on increasing attendance and participation. Andy and Julie stress the importance of parent involvement, especially for those farther away. “No matter how long the distance between our home and campus, Julie and I understand that the Abbey is another warm family and community for all of the students,” Andy says. “Parents actively volunteering for the School will be role models for Alex and other students, so they can better understand that they
are part of the Abbey family for their whole lives.” They also believe that their volunteer efforts will help Alex and other students understand the importance of taking responsibility and making a difference. Volunteering time and talent may sound simple – and in many cases, it can be – but adding a language barrier, culture shift, and distance makes it easy to dismiss the possibility of helping out. Andy and Julie are quick to discourage this line of thinking. “Volunteering for the Abbey is important to contribute to and build this community,” Andy says. “Julie and I keep close communications with other parents and let them better understand how their involvement helps improve their kids’ integration into the School. More and more parents have become actively involved with the School.” As they approach their son’s next two years at the Abbey, Andy and Julie are looking forward to what the future holds for them. “We hope Portsmouth Abbey will have more capability – with more families’ active involvement – to well educate young men and women to blossom with a high standard of courage, integrity, responsibility, and grace.”

So far, she is making great inroads to realize that dream. In addition to her current Ph.D. studies, Naseemah is the co-founder of two organizations: the Center for African Cultural Excellence, which hosts writing workshops across Africa and links published African writers with aspiring authors, and AfricanIvy, an organization that helps African students apply to universities in the US and UK. In addition, she served as the director of African programs for Harvard’s Pre-Texts Initiative, a teacher training program.

As much as Naseemah credits the Abbey for her solid start in the field of education, she would never have considered attending if it weren’t for Rick ’75 and Beezie Childs. The Childses were the host parents of Naseemah’s older sister, Shazrene, while she attended Harvard. When Naseemah traveled from her home in Zimbabwe to the states for a visit, the Childses put her in touch with the School. “Through their personal generosity, as well as the generosity of the School, I came to complete my high school education here,” Naseemah says.

Since graduation, Naseemah has remained closely tied to the Abbey community. She serves as a Class Agent and visits campus whenever she is in Rhode Island. She also reads the Alumni Bulletins to keep up to date on campus happenings. In addition, she supports the School financially when she can. “As a recipient of the generosity of others, I think that offering financial support to expand the diversity of the student population not only helps the individuals themselves but the School community as a whole.”

If you ask Naseemah Mohamed about her time at Portsmouth Abbey, she will confidently tell you that it was the most important influence in her life to date. Coming from a Rhodes Scholar and Ph.D. candidate in Oxford’s Department of Education, this is a statement that holds some gravitas. She maintains that the quality of her education at the Abbey – particularly the humanities and English classes – spurred her dream to ensure that others less fortunate could have comparable opportunities.
u
Looking to the future, Naseemah hopes to be a leader in the field of educational policy. “I’ve personally seen how education can radically alter the trajectory of an individual, a society, or even a whole nation, and I hope to make a difference in this domain,” she says. As for the Abbey, Naseemah is hopeful that the School can expand its coursework and extracurricular offerings. “As the country, and even the world becomes more polarized, I think it is crucial now more than ever to begin to deeply understand other traditions, religious as well as historical— doing so would not only strengthen the intellectual foundations of the students, but also ensure that the students truly understand those who, at first glance, seem so different from themselves.” 2018 annual report

a Endowed Annual Fund Gift
u
The 3rd annual Abbey Madness swept through our alumni community from March 15 - 26. This initiative, which follows the NCAA March Madness bracket style, was launched in 2016 as a way to promote class camaraderie and unleash the competitive spirit of our alumni while generating support for the Annual Fund. Similar to last year’s challenge, alumni classes were ranked from 1 to 64 from highest to lowest Annual Fund participation and paired into teams (#1 with #64, #2 with #63, #3 with #62, etc.). In addition, the Class of 2018 competed in the challenge to educate the Sixth Form about the Annual Fund and the importance of giving back. Abbey Madness began at the Croton Reservoir Tavern in New York City on March 15 with a special networking and tipoff event hosted by Annual Fund Chair Phil Moyles ’82 and Brennan Gilbane-Koch ’97. While the event officially marked the start of Abbey Madness, class participation was calculated from the start of the fiscal year, celebrating all gifts to the Annual Fund. From March 19 - 26, the team
with the highest combined Annual Fund participation advanced to the next round until there were two teams left to compete in the championship round. There were some very close matches, but the Classes of 1983 and 1985 rallied together and came out on top with an amazing 59% combined Annual Fund participation. The following classes received special recognition for their efforts during this challenge: Abbey Madness Champions: Classes
1983 and 1985 Abbey Madness Runner Ups: Classes 2005 and 2018 Redemption Round Winner : Class of 1963
Together, 235 alumni and Sixth Form students gave more than $50,000 to the 2017-18 Annual Fund during Abbey Madness. Thanks to all the Class Agents and donors who made this challenge a huge success for a third year in a row!

By his eighth grade year, Davy Appleton was familiar with Portsmouth Abbey; his older sister Johanna ’17 attended for four years and was in her final year when Davy visited the School. “I applied to a few other boarding schools, but after visiting and seeing what a supportive environment the School fostered, I decided to come,” he says. Now, as a Form V student, he has mastered the art of juggling academics, athletics, and co-curriculars – and his younger sister, Margot ’21, has joined the Raven community as well. Hailing from Mattapoisett, MA, Davy is just far enough from home to fully immerse himself in the School, but close enough to remain connected to his roots. Davy’s interests touch every corner of the School. He is a two-sport athlete, participating in cross country and track & field. He writes for the Beacon, the School newspaper, and he is able to practice his faith more often than he could previously. In addition, he plans on starting a finance and business club on campus with his roommate this year. He credits the structured schedule for the ability to manage all of these commitments: “I often struggled to manage my time well before coming here. But at Portsmouth Abbey, the structure of the day allows me to be more productive.” What really makes the School special for Davy are his classes. While he has enjoyed all of the classes he has taken so far, he especially likes Humanities. “Humanities with Mr. Fisher and Mr. Soldi gave me the opportunity to learn about literature, philosophy, history, and theology by reading some of the greatest works of literature with the guidance of teachers,” he says. The work is challenging, but meaningful – another benefit to the Portsmouth Abbey education. In addition, Davy appreciates the spiritual aspect of life at the Abbey: “Before coming here I had only been to confession twice, and I had never been to Divine Adoration. Now I go to both of these every month,” he says. All of Davy’s experiences – including receiving financial aid for tuition assistance – were made possible through generous contributions to the Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund have a direct impact on the everyday lives of students by providing resources necessary to create the unforgettable moments students experience. “Without financial aid, I would not have the opportunity to attend Portsmouth Abbey,” Davy says. “I hope in the future I am able to give to Portsmouth Abbey and give others this same great education and experience.” 16 16 ||

Parents’ Association The Portsmouth Abbey School Parents’ Association seeks to encourage and enhance engagement between parents and the School through volunteering their time and talents, and fundraising for the School in order to strengthen the student experience. This year Chris and Deb Falvey, parents of Mary Beth ’18 and Ted ’20, chaired the Association with the support of our dedicated Form Chairs. The commitment and leadership of this team reinforced the partnership our parents have with the School and made a direct impact on our students. Our parent participation in the Annual Fund set a record at 79 percent, communication among our parents was enriched by the creation of a monthly parent newsletter – Communitas – and a new committee for current parents to call and welcome our new families, and the Association helped facilitate a new event during the Winter Term providing parents another way to engage with our faculty. Portsmouth Abbey is grateful for the support from all our parents, and we look forward to the Falvey’s leadership for the 2018-19 academic year.

Annual Fund Scholars The Annual Fund Scholars Program creates the opportunity for donors giving $15,000 or more a year to create a single- or multiyear, fully-expendable scholarship to directly and immediately underwrite the financial needs of a current student. These scholarships enable the School to provide our Catholic Benedictine experience to bright and deserving students who are committed to academic achievement and personal success.

Profile
John and Meg Dennis In the summer of 2016, John and Meg Dennis, along with daughters Meagan and Tessa, attended orientation for their local high school. Expectations were high, as the school has an excellent reputation and the girls were excited to begin high school. However, the school was undergoing a significant renovation, which would force students into temporary classrooms in the school parking lot. The family returned to their summer home at Carnegie Abbey, concerned at the prospect of years of construction. “We heard the bells of the Church of Saint Gregory the Great tolling in the distance and wondered aloud why we had not applied to Portsmouth Abbey School,” John and Meg say. They called the Office of Admission, set up a tour, took the exams, and in the week prior to the first week of school, Meagan and Tessa were accepted into the Class of 2020. As parents of day students, the Dennises stay involved in the School in a number of ways. They host dinners for international students in order to provide another support system for students whose families are so far away. “As a family, we strive to make these students feel welcome in our country and in our home,” John and Meg say. In addition, they attend as many sports games as possible. It makes the girls happy to see their parents there cheering them on – and they encourage all parents and family members to attend these events. In addition to their active work on campus, John and Meg are generous supporters of both the School’s Annual Fund and the current capital campaign
to fund the School’s new Science Building. Their reasons for giving are multifaceted. They have developed an emotional attachment to the School and what it encompasses, and they want to see it continue its great track record of success. “Supporting Portsmouth Abbey School is particularly rewarding because you can so often witness the direct result of your support,” they say, citing the new Science Building as an example. “We strongly support the School’s goal of emphasizing technology and expansive lab work…we’d like to reinforce in our daughters and all young ladies at Portsmouth Abbey School the confidence to pursue careers in STEM.” They are eagerly awaiting the building’s opening in early 2019, and it is an added benefit that Meagan and Tessa will be able to use the building for their coursework. John and Meg encourage local parents to invite boarders to their homes, clubs, or nearby restaurants– or to even consider organizing a shopping trip to a nearby mall. “It can be very stressful for a new student to leave home at such a young age,” they say. “They need our support.” For parents further away from campus, they encourage supporting the School to the best of your ability. “In a school this size, no donation of time, effort, or money is too small – and we’re confident that any contribution will be graciously accepted and put to good use.” The Dennis family looks forward to remaining connected to the School in the future long after Meagan and Tessa have graduated.

a Endowed Annual Fund Gift
2018 annual report
| 27
Class of 2018 – Sixth Form Gift This past May, the Class of 2018 met at the Newport Beach House in Newport, RI to celebrate their annual Sixth Form Dinner, marking the start of commencement weekend. The members of the Class of 2018 were joined by Headmaster Dan McDonough, alumni faculty, legacy families, and special alumni guests. Together they were able to welcome the Sixth Form students to the beginning of the next phase of their lives as Portsmouth Abbey School alumni. After arriving to the venue, there was time for mingling and taking photos in the courtyard overlooking the coastline. Following the welcoming reception, everyone proceeded to their seats for the formal dinner program. Director of Development & Alumni Affairs Matt Walter served as the emcee for the evening, and the alumni guest speaker was Morgan Jetto ’03. Morgan works as the Senior Strategic Lead, Global Search Partnerships at Oath, Inc., a subsidiary of Verizon Communications. Morgan spoke about his experience at the Abbey, and urged the Class of 2018 to come back, stay in-touch, and give back. The evening also served as the conclusion of the 2017-18 Sixth Form Gift campaign. The Class of 2018 became the first Sixth Form class to reach 100% participation with gifts to the Annual Fund, raising a total of $868. Their gift was graciously matched by Michael Anselmi ’97, bringing the total to $1,736. Michael has been involved with the Sixth Form gift for a number of years, and his matching gift continues to inspire and encourage students to make their first gift to the School. Sixth Form Class Gift Agents Emma Costa, Samuel Ding, Maya Eid, Kate Hughes, Alicia Ponte, Austin Sisk, Daniel Sliney, and Benjamin Varieur had the pleasure to present their class gift to Headmaster Dan McDonough at the conclusion of the evening. A special thanks to the 2018 Sixth Form Class Gift Agents and all of the donors for their support of the School, and congratulations to Samuel Ding, Kate Hughes, Alicia Ponte, and Daniel Sliney who will continue to serve as alumni Class Agents through the class’s 5th Reunion in 2023. 28 28 ||

Alumnus
Profile
Geza Serenyi ’62 As an active member of the Diman Club, which is comprised of alumni who have surpassed their 50th reunion, Geza Serenyi has seen the School go through tremendous change and growth – from the introduction of coeducation in 1992 to the construction of the new, state-of-the-art, Science Building this year. As a Class Agent, he has worked diligently to keep the Class of ’62 closely connected. “I am eager to have the Class stay in touch with each other,” he says, “and I am extremely proud of our participation rate in terms of attendance at events, as well as the Annual Fund.” Because of his work, and the efforts of classmate Gene Renz, the Class of ’62 had an Annual Fund participation rate of 54%, the 5th highest at the School this year. Geza is very thankful for the major donations made this year by Vinnie Buonanno, Tom Hewitt, Birch Mullins, and John Reid. He is thrilled that Rick Doherty, Rusty MacMullan, Chris Ogden, Gene Renz, and Peter Trundle have supported Portsmouth Abbey faithfully for well over 30 consecutive years. Geza has given to the Annual Fund for more than 50 years to ensure the School can remain competitive while still holding on to the traditions and educational excellence that he experienced as a student himself. “When I think of my time at Portsmouth Abbey, I think of my teachers, and it is terrific to see that today’s faculty is worthy of that legacy.” For example, he says, Fr. Damian taught him to think and write clearly, Fr. Leo taught him the beauty and symmetry of physics, and Fr. Andrew challenged him with complex math. “All of these teachers and many more helped instill in me a desire for excellence that has stayed with me for my whole life.” Loyal Raven Society:

Geza believes so strongly that the School is carrying on this legacy that he made an additional, generous gift in support of the School’s new Science Building, above and beyond his Annual Fund gift. “I spent most of my career in Information Technology,” he says. “I watched the evolution of IT go from multimillion dollar mainframes to laptops and cell phones that are more powerful than the IBM 360 mainframes. I have watched how technology has brought so much good to the way we live. I really wanted to support the sciences and math at Portsmouth Abbey.” He hopes his gift not only inspires others to follow suit, but has a significant impact on today’s students: “I want all students, but especially Portsmouth Abbey students, to get excited about science early in their lives so that they stick with it.” In making his gift to science, Geza used a new, tax-wise way to give by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from his IRA. “A distribution through my IRA is easier than writing a check!” he says. “And it provides a tremendous tax advantages to anyone who can do it, despite the recent changes in the tax laws.” He plans on making his future Annual Fund gifts through a QCD and is encouraging everyone who is required to take minimum distributions from an IRA to explore the significant tax advantages of a QCD. If you are interested in learning more about the tax advantages of using a QCD to make a charitable gift to the School, please contact Senior Development Officer Andrew Rose at 401-643-1280 or arose@portsmouthabbey.org. 25-24

Securing our Academic Future Science in the 21st Century at Portsmouth Abbey
The Securing our Academic Future campaign for the School’s new Science Building has surpassed $14.5 million toward its $20 million goal, and momentum for the transformational project continues to grow. “We are grateful to those whose gifts to the project, big and small, have made it possible to secure our academic future through construction of this innovative, transformational academic building,” said Headmaster Dan McDonough. “The intellectual awakening that is unique to the high school experience is very exciting and to have the chance to contribute to a building that can only help that intellectual awakening is a chance to leave an important legacy for both the donor and the School.”

The new building, a state-of-the-art science education facility connecting to the east end of the Burden Classroom Building, extends from the Holy Lawn north toward the football field and track, and includes seven laboratories, seven classrooms, faculty offices, a multi-purpose seminar room, and a multi-story commons that will serve as the crossroads of science and the humanities. Construction began in July of 2017 and is expected to continue through late November of 2018, followed by final inspections and systems testing in December. Classes will begin in the new building in January of 2019. The School thanks the following donors whose support of the Science Building Construction Fund from its inception through June 30, 2018 has made it possible to undertake this project.

In the fall of 1986, future Form IV student Tim Muccia was apprehensive about joining the Portsmouth Abbey community. He would be leaving behind a large, co-ed school for a small, all-boys Catholic boarding school two states away. Fortunately, the transition was smooth. “Wearing a tie and jacket every day and going to class on Saturday mornings took some getting used to,” Tim says, “but we all bonded in our shared experience. The academic rigor, lengthy paper writing and study habits that I learned at Portsmouth Abbey served me very well in my college years in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.” As a student, Tim played soccer and lacrosse, and has fond memories of his time on and off the field. A favorite story for him and friend Jim Knight ’87 is one where they led their dorm to victory in the overall school flag football tournament. His positive experiences at the School, along with the friends and classmates he keeps in touch with to this day, keep him connected to life on Cory’s Lane. “Despite having lived all over the country since leaving Portsmouth Abbey, I have stayed in contact with a fair amount of friends from school.” In addition to casual social visits, Tim makes sure to attend School events to catch up with classmates – particularly the Abbot’s Reception every December in New York City. Tim’s experiences while attending and after graduating Portsmouth Abbey helped to shape the person he is today. Because of this, he remains a consistent donor to the School. “I believe in supporting the mission of the School. My experience at Portsmouth benefitted me in many ways – not just academically but also socially and spiritually.” This support has grown recently in the form of a generous multi-year commitment in support of the School’s largest capital initiative to date, the construction of the new science center. “The project will be a meaningful addition to the science department as well as the campus footprint,” Tim says. When classmate Bill Winterer met with Tim to discuss a gift to science, he reflected not only on his memories of the School, but on what the building will mean for students today and in the future. Ultimately, he decided to make a higher level of commitment to the project, taking advantage of the option to spread his gift out over several years. “As the school continues to grow and evolve, it is important for the facilities to do the same,” Tim says. “The future looks bright and I look forward to witnessing the completion of this historic project.” 2018 annual report

The Manor House, the School’s first building, was originally called “Hall Manor.” The Hall Manor Society honors those individuals who have remembered the School in their estate plans, made a planned gift during their lifetimes, or established an endowed fund. These gifts create a legacy for each donor in support of the mission of Portsmouth Abbey School and can offer numerous financial planning benefits which may enable donors to make a bigger impact on the School than they ever thought possible. During the 2018 fiscal year, Portsmouth Abbey School was pleased to welcome Dr. Gregory Hornig ’68 P’01 and Mrs. Carole Imondi to the Hall Manor Society and to gratefully acknowledge $462,178 in planned gifts from the estates of Margaret Curran P’56, Michael Curran ’56, and Mary Talbot, along with perpetual gifts from the estates of Ernest and Jeanette Denomme and Mary E. Hawthorne. For a complete listing of the more than 160 Hall Manor Society members, please see www.portmouthabbey.org/support/planned-giving.
If you have any questions about the Hall Manor Society, planning a gift, or establishing an endowed fund, or if you wish to notify the School of your eligibility for the Hall Manor Society, please contact Senior Development Officer Andrew Rose at 401-643-1280, arose@portsmouthabbey.org.
