Summer Program

Imagine yourself enjoying friends you’ve made from around the world; feeling a sense of real accomplishment from having studied things that interest you and will help you in your next year of school; remembering the fun times you had on trips to places like Boston and Martha’s Vineyard; looking forward to improving your new-found skills in sports and other activities you had never tried before. Imagine, too, that you have been challenged to think about life, what it means to be a good person and how to become the person you want to be. And imagine that all these thoughts are enveloped in an experience that from start to finish was fun, challenging, exciting, and never dull for a moment. That’s what the Portsmouth Abbey Summer Program can do for you. Set on 500 beautiful acres on the shores of Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island, with full use of Portsmouth Abbey School’s magnificent facilities, the Summer Program is designed for students rising into grades 7-10 who want to get a look at important material for the coming year, take a class that their home schools might not offer, and are seeking a little adventure that will introduce them to new people, activities and places.

If this sounds like you, whether you are interested in getting a sense of what boarding school is like or just want to have a fantastic summer experience, please contact us, and we can talk about what a month at the Portsmouth Abbey Summer Program can do for you!
