Community Wellbeing Strategy well underway
In 2021, we talked with the community about how safety, accessibility, inclusion, housing and security contribute to and impact on their wellbeing as part of the development of our Community Wellbeing Strategy. The Strategy will help to improve the wellbeing of our most vulnerable residents. We’ve since developed some draft actions and key priorities using these community insights. We’re now ready to check back in with the community to make sure we are on the right track and that these insights are still the community’s priority. Take part in a number of opportunities to share your thoughts on the draft actions – go to pscouncil.info/community-wellbeing-actions to find out more.
Stage 3 of consultation for CMP complete
Over the last few years, we’ve been working with other local councils to prepare a Coastal Management Program (CMP) to manage our coastline. The CMP sets out the long-term strategic management of the coastal zone.

We’ve almost finished our Stage 3 community engagement, holding a number of drop in sessions and workshops to discuss the hazard mapping and potential management options. Through these conversations, we’ve gathered a broad range of opinions, suggestions and feedback from the community around suggested management options
We’ll now work towards preparing our final list of management options, which will be incorporated into the draft CMP document. The draft document will be ready for public exhibition next year, for further comment. Find out more at pscouncil.info/cmp
Garden Organics are GO!
The green bins have been delivered and the new garden organics waste service has kicked off! With the service now in place, we’re all contributing to redirecting 25% of green waste that currently goes to landfill, to be processed into an environmentally sustainable compost product.
The new garden organics bins will be collected fortnightly on the opposite week to your yellow bin collection.
