Ronnie Montano Presents: How To Generate Traffic Using Ad Swaps Ad swaps in an ingenious technique that webmasters and bloggers use to boost traffic and to increase the number of subscribers. This technique is fast, efficient and costs nothing. Let us take a closer look at how ad swapping actually works. Consider two bloggers named Mike and Rachel. Mike writes about weight loss and fitness while Rachel is an expert on nutrition. Note that these two niches complement each other very well. Mike and Rachel both have around 2000 subscribers each. Their blogs bring a steady stream of income each month and are more or less comparable to each other in terms of quality of content, page views etc. Both bloggers want to boost traffic and increase their revenue so they agree to form a partnership where each agrees to promote the other’s product to his/her subscribers. So Mike sends an email to his subscribers promoting Rachel’s product and puts in a link to her website in the mail. Rachel does the same for Mike. Thus, both bloggers advertise to approximately 4000 people instead of just 2000. Ultimately, both of them generate higher income and the ‘ad swapping’ partnership proves to be profitable. Ad swapping helps internet marketers to effectively double their email lists. It creates an instant boost in traffic and revenue without requiring any substantial effort. In most cases, links to squeeze pages are included in the ad. This is preceded by a short introduction stating that the blogger found so and so product useful and relevant. The squeeze page gets subscribers to sign up to a newsletter by offering a free gift. This gift may be a free eBook, trial, tutorial, report and so on. Once a person enters his or her email to receive the free gift – then that individual is ‘hooked’. If the free gift is truly valuable and manages to impress readers, then the internet marketer has a good chance of turning subscribers into customers. As you just read – Ad swaps are great for business. They are ethical, free and often provide a refreshing insight to the subscribers. However, the biggest problem is finding a website or a blog that is compatible with your own. Even if you manage to find one – there are reliability issues. Many unscrupulous webmasters have realized the power of ad swapping and are misusing the concept for their own selfish gains. Their email lists are either completely saturated or often even downright fake. Thus, they end up advertising to your high quality, presold subscribers while your ad does not even get read by anyone! It is because of a bunch of quacks that ad swapping has earned a bad reputation and many website owners are hesitant to try it out. The best way to find suitable partners is to research other websites within your niche and also in other niches which complement it. Also, you need to have at least a few hundred subscribers of your own if you want to be taken seriously by other parties. The best way to create your own email list is through organic traffic– just focus on providing quality content and offering a unique perspective. If you have the means, then you may also employ paid methods of advertising. If you do manage to find a reliable, trustworthy partner to swap ads with; the relationship could prove to be extremely fruitful for the both of you. Want to know more?
