Rapidly Growing Community in One of Florida’s Fastest Growing Counties: Explosive Growth in Residential and Commercial Development Underway
(ChampionsGate, Florida) – Osceola County, one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Florida has increasingly benefitted from development in the Four Corners area and more specifically, in ChampionsGate: a complete destination community catering to the needs of both residents and tourists. The hybrid, mega-community is experiencing explosive growth in the residential, tourist and commercial sectors. In 2015 the tax value for residential development in ChampionsGate accounted for more than $500 Million, a growth of 70 percent from tax year 2007, and when factoring in non-residential development the total tax value is well over $1 Billion for Osceola County. ChampionsGate features a thriving dining, retail and leisure tourist market under the leadership of Rida Development Corporation who reports an estimated $250 Million in projected growth for 2017. As the mega-community’s developer and homebuilder, Lennar Homes continues to be the primary driver of community infrastructure for the development of projects to accommodate the expanding needs of the community’s residents and visitors. Projects currently in development:
Osceola County Conference Center Expansion (65K Square Feet)
NEW Tuscan Isle Assisted Living Facility
NEW ChampionsGate Shopping Center (24K Square Feet)
NEW Gate Apartments
History of ChampionsGate Rida Development Corporation led the reshaping of the geographic footprint of the area in 1998 with the formation of the ChampionsGate community development district (CDD). The community initially consisted of 1,400 acres. However, in 2012, ChampionsGate increased its footprint by nearly 40 percent, to 2,300 acres through a branding relationship with Miami based, Lennar Corporation, which incorporated the adjacent property, nearly doubling the size of ChampionsGate and sparking the recent success.
