TWO CENTRAL FLORIDA SPORTING EVENT ORGANIZATIONS JOIN FORCES to Support Cancer Research at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine Date Announced for the 2017 CURE BOWL GOLF CLASSIC
December 1, 2016 (Orlando, Florida) - A popular Orlando-area medical golf tournament announces a strategic alliance with the Orlando Sports Foundation, thereby uniting the efforts of the MED SCHOOL GOLF CLASSIC with the AutoNation Cure Bowl. The Med School Classic organization will be re-branded as the Cure Bowl Classic and will join forces with the Orlando Sports Foundation to produce the CURE BOWL GOLF CLASSIC which will be held on April 24, 2017 at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club. The CURE BOWL GOLF CLASSIC will be promoted during the AutoNation Cure Bowl which will be held at Camping World Stadium on December 17, 2016. "Partnerships like these align with our mission which is Bringing Teams Together to Find a Cure for Cancer," stated Alan Gooch, Executive Director of the Orlando Sports Foundation. He added: “And we appreciate the strong partnership we have with the UCF Medical School." The Orlando Sports Foundation, Inc, a 501c3 founded in May 2008, raises awareness and funding to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through the AutoNation Cure Bowl, an annual NCAA college football bowl game played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
