ORLANDO, FL - This September, the Bridges of Light (BOL) Foundation will host the 10th Annual Player's Ball to give the gift of education to at-risk Central Florida children. The gala will raise money to further the efforts of the Bridges of Light Foundation including the Education Tutoring Program (ETP). BOL hopes to increase donations this year to expand the ETP to include personalized supplemental teaching for these Central Florida children. The ETP provides these children with a tailored mentoring and educational program to increase their grade point averages and build their skills in preparation for adulthood. The program advises and mentors students to learn life skills, enter the work force and become college bound young men and women. The Player's Ball Gala will be held at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The Player's Ball has been nominated as EVENT OF THE YEAR by Clear Channel Communications and XL106.7 radio station. The lavish event will feature a four-course meal by the Executive Chef, live entertainment, dancing, casino gaming, a spectacular silent and live auction and the headliner show Focus3D. Through your commitment to this event, Bridges of Light Foundation is able to grow and enhance the lives of Central Florida At-Risk Children. We appreciate your support and hope that you will join us for the 10th Annual Player's Ball Gala. Bridges of Light Foundation: The Bridges of Light (BOL) Foundation was established in 2004 with the primary objective to raise money for abandoned, abused and neglected Central Florida children in order to further their education. The main goal is to mentor these children within the foster care facilities with both financial and educational support. Since 2007, The Educational Tutoring Program (ETP) has provided the personalized instruction, guidance and mentoring that is critical to increasing grade point averages with focus on math, science, reading, language arts and the social sciences. Results from report cards show that the ETP has been successful in achieving this goal, with an overall increase in the GPAs of ETP students. Bridges of Light Foundation and The Educational Tutoring Program's mission is to prepare children to graduate high school and enter into the work force or become college-bound young men and women.
