Hope and Help Center of Central Florida Announces: It’s A NEW DAY! Campaign Featuring New Leadership and Expansion of Services
(Orlando, Florida - September 17, 2014) – Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, in our 26th year of providing hope, dignity, and resources related to the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS in the Central Florida community, announces the: IT’S A NEW DAY! Campaign. The campaign is a comprehensive mission rejuvenation and community commitment renewal, with new leadership and expanded community services. A new management team is led by Lisa Barr. Lisa has an extensive background in non and for profit management accompanied by an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Her focus is on the “how to”, not the “should be”. She is a team builder and believes in partnering with corporate, government and community leaders to provide comprehensive solutions to real life issues. Joining Lisa is Edgardo Vazqueztell, Finance Director; Abby Nicholson, Prevention Director; and Jennifer Smith, Clinical Director, “Today we are excited that HIV/AIDS is now a manageable disease; however, there is so much work to be done in the areas of education, treatment and prevention. I’m honored to serve and to lead the Hope and Help team as we celebrate our 26th year of service to the Central Florida community.” – Lisa Barr, Executive Director. Hope and Help’s 25th Annual Headdress Ball will be held on September 20, 2014 at the Hilton Orlando. Healthcare changes and related funding have made donors and events event more central to the organization’s ability to support the community. The Hope and Help Center of Central Florida is a 501 (c)3 organization goal is to serve the whole person in order to promote wellness and health by offering client services such as case management, an insurance continuation program, HIV testing, education and prevention programs, food pantry, pharmacy, and support groups.
