We recently spoke to John Donnelly, founder of Your Holistic Academy. Your Holistic Academy is a global platform, connecting people to qualified holistic practitioners, therapists and coaches. A holistic approach supports the whole person, not just their mental wellness needs. Your Holistic Academy (YHA) also considers the physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of its members. YHA offers a range of courses to help you tap into your creativity and bring a holistic methodology to your business needs. Taking this approach creates an environment in which a person can begin to notice and address imbalances before they become serious issues. John shares his journey and transformation — what he describes as “that waking up moment” and a feeling of being re-energised. After returning from a retreat, John’s passion was restored and he was once again excited about life. This is ultimately what led him to create Your Holistic Academy. As the world went into lockdown due to the global pandemic, John began in earnest to make his dreams of YHA a reality. This started as an online platform to share ideas and support, with a focus on holistic health. Offering a myriad of supports through their workshops, courses and events, YHA is about bringing people together who have a varied skillset and using the art of collaboration to make something materialise. “It’s about coming together and collaboration is the key to it all.”

YHA is a platform for people to network together, with a peer group of like-minded holistic professionals, where people can learn from each other. John also has a team of business professionals that provide expertise in sales and marketing, social media and technology. The team is made up of business coaches, financial experts and life coaches - providing an immersive educational experience to help you make the most out of your abilities and passions. Support for holistic professionals is at the core of Your Holistic Academy’s ethos. The offering includes a corporate programme, which centres around ideas of reducing stress in the workplace to “change the energy and change the culture and bring a more holistic approach to that space”. Through the global holistic network, there are opportunities for its members to tap into, there is scope to meet with like-minded people from around the world to share and discuss ideas. The future of YHA is focused on transformative energy by helping people on their journey through life, through holistic health and wellbeing. “We are looking at a better way to live for all of us,” John explains. With all the challenges that life slings, be it stress, anxiety or struggles with mental health, it can be hard to know where to turn. John has so many experts within their field showing up to support the YHA community, bringing their education and experience. “We want to bring that expertise to the world,” John says. “Life is an adventure, and every day counts.”
