March 16 will see SaskTel Centre host two iconic rock groups with Heart joined by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson first stormed the charts with their band, Heart, in the 1970s with hits like “Crazy on You”, “Magic Man”, “Barracuda”, “Straight On” and many more. Unheard of in rock and roll at the time, the Wilsons wrote their own songs and played in the band. Heart continued their charttopping ways into the 1980s with “These Dreams”, “Alone”, “What About Love”, “If Looks Could Kill” and many others. Their songs showcased their talents as musicians, singers and songwriters. They’ve sold over 35 million records worldwide and had 20 Top 40 singles. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts burst onto the scene in the 1980s with hits like “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, “Crimson and Clover”, “I hate Myself for Loving You”, “Love Hurts”, and more. Joan Jett has released 42 singles and 14 studio albums. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
