NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Saskatoon Municipal Wards Commission - December 16 The Saskatoon Municipal Wards Commission is seeking insight and informaton from the citzens of Saskatoon as they look to establish new ward boundaries for the municipal/school boards’ electons on October 26, 2016. Interested citzens are invited to review current ward boundaries and projected growth areas, and present their thoughts at the first of its two-part public consultatons: Wednesday, December 16, 2015 7:00 p.m. CommiZee Room “E” City Hall (Door No. 1 – 4th Avenue Entrance) Public parking available in the City Hall staff lot a er 6:00p.m. WriZen submissions are preferred; however, oral presentatons may be made at the meetng. All public input will be appreciated and taken into consideraton by the Commission. Once ward boundaries have been dra ed, a second public meetng will be held to receive input prior to a final decision being made.

The following meetngs are being held, but are not open to the public because they deal with issues that are sensitve in nature and meet the requirements of Part III of The Local Authority Freedom of Informaton and Protecton of Privacy Act. No final decisions may be made at closed meetngs. THERE ARE NO CLOSED MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 14-18, 2015.

A er a snowfall, sidewalks need to be cleared as quickly as possible to remove hazards for pedestrian traffic, regardless of their mobility. All sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice a er every snow fall. Please clear your residental sidewalk within 48 hours. Commercial propertes have 24 hours. To report sidewalks that have not been cleared, please call 306-975-3193. Be a Snow Angel and help your neighbours clear their sidewalk. If someone helps you, nominate them as a Snow Angel on the City website to recognize their kindness, and enter them in a monthly draw. It’s the neighbourly thing to do! Most Saskatoon neighbourhoods will have their garbage and/or recycling collected on a new day in 2016. To find your 2016 collecton days: Watch your mailbox for your 2016 Cart Collecton Calendar & Guide mailed to you in mid-December, outlining the garbage, recycling and optonal green cart schedules for your household. Visit Saskatoon.ca/collectoncalendar and simply enter your address to find your calendar and to sign-up for handy collecton day reminders by email or phone. 2016 collecton days are changing. Frequency and cart roll-out locatons stay the same. New schedules for garbage, recycling and green cart collecton beZer serve our growing city, improve reliability and reduce fuel use and emissions from our trucks.
