The next Regular Business and Public Hearing Meetings of City Council are scheduled for Monday, January 23, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. respectively. Regular and Public Hearing meetings of City Council are broadcast live on Channel 10 starting at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively. Public meetings of City Council, including public meetings of the Governance and Priorities Committee and Standing Policy Committees are also video-streamed live on the City’s website as well as archived for future viewing. When it snows, City crews, sand, salt and plow high traffic roads and Priority streets around the clock to keep drivers moving.
The City of Saskatoon will be accepting live Christmas trees for recycling at the following locations from December 26, 2016 to January 31, 2017.
Winter Road Maintenance
What you can expect: • Extra City crews and contractors help out as required. • De-icing and grading on high traffic streets. • City-wide neighbourhood grading when 15 cm or more of snow accumulates to prevent extreme ruts. What you can do: • Be prepared to slow down, stop, and remain at least 15 metres behind snow maintenance equipment. • Find out the status of cleared streets after a snow event on our snow grading map at saskatoon.ca/snow.
