BE IN THE KNOW ABOUT SNOW
CITY CREWS SALT AND SAND TO REDUCE SLIPPERY STREETS What you can expect: • City crews will apply sand and salt to high-traffic and priority streets to reduce slippery locations, soften ice and add traction. • Even with the use of salt and sand, extra moisture from snow can create slippery conditions. • City crews and equipment work around the clock to keep Saskatoon moving. What you can do: • Watch your speed while driving, slow down and be prepared to stop. • Use salt on sidewalks to help melt ice when temperatures are just below freezing. For more information, visit saskatoon.ca/snow or contact us at snow@saskatoon.ca and 306-975-2476.
