City Council will consider a report from the City Solicitor at the City Council mee#ng Monday, February 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, recommending: That an amendment be made to The Procedures and Commi"ees Bylaw, 2014, to amend the delegated authority ma!ers of the Standing Policy Commi!ee on Transporta#on; in par#cular, to remove the delega#on of the approval of encroachment agreements as The Building Bylaw, 2017 is being amended to delegate such approvals to the Administra#on. LICENSE FOR SASKATOON SEARCH AND RESCUE INC. TO USE A PORTION OF FORMER FIRE STATION No. 3 City Council will consider a report from Administra#on at the Public Hearing of City Council to be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall recommending: That City Council authorize a license for Saskatoon Search and Rescue Inc. (SSAR) to use a por#on of former Fire Sta#on No. 3, located at 1906 York Avenue, for a three-year term at $1.00 per year. • SSAR is a non-profit organiza#on that supports various authori#es, including the Saskatoon Fire Department, in emergency situa#ons. • Former Fire Sta#on No. 3 was relocated earlier this year and although officially closed, it is s#ll par#ally occupied by the Saskatoon Fire Department. • SSAR wants to use a por#on of Fire Sta#on No. 3 for office space and to store equipment. The Ci!es Act and City Council Bylaw 8171 require that City Council give Public No#ce prior to leasing property for an amount less than market value and without a public offering.
