ROSEWOOD NEIGHBOURHOOD PROPOSED ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT – BYLAW NO. 9713 Saskatoon City Council will consider an amendment to the City’s Zoning Bylaw (No. 8770) proposed by Arbutus Proper#es to rezone lands adjacent to Keith Way, Keith Union and Keith Turn in the Rosewood neighbourhood. By way of Bylaw No. 9713, The Zoning Amendment Bylaw, 2020 (No. 17), the subject lands are proposed to be rezoned from FUD – Future Urban Development District to R1A - One-Unit Residen#al District, R1B - Small Lot One-Unit Residen#al District and R2 - One and Two-Unit Residen#al District. NOTICE TO AMEND

Bylaw No. 9712

Saskatoon City Council will consider Bylaw No. 9712, The Friends of the Bowl Founda!on Inc. Loan Amendment Bylaw, 2020, at its mee#ng to be held on Monday, July 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., Council Chambers, City Hall. The purpose of the Bylaw is to authorize an amendment to Bylaw No. 9530, The Friends of the Bowl Founda!on Inc. Loan Authoriza!on Bylaw, 2018, that approved a loan from the City of Saskatoon to The Friends of the Bowl Founda#on Inc. for a capital fundraising program for Gordie Howe Sports Complex. The principal of the loan will remain up to $10,000,000, and the term shall be five years, and the amount of new borrowing shall be $1,930,000, interest on the loan shall be at a rate equivalent to the City’s calculated cost of borrowing and based on the balance of the loan. The City’s rate of interest for the month of June 2020 was at .96%. The Ci!es Act and City Council Policy C01-021 require that City Council give public no#ce before loaning money to one of its closely controlled corpora#ons or amending any such previous loan bylaw. In response to the City of Saskatoon’s request for ci#zens to assist with controlling the spread of COVID-19, we ask that all submissions for the considera#on of the Bylaw be submi!ed in wri#ng. REASON FOR THE AMENDMENT – The proposed rezoning will provide for future subdivision and development, including park space, as shown on the approved Rosewood Neighbourhood Concept Plan. The R1A and R1B Districts will provide for one-unit residen#al development as well as related community uses and the R2 District will provide for residen#al development in the form of one- and two-unit dwellings as well as related community uses.
