The 2019 Melfort Exhibition is sure to entertain when it takes place July 19-21. The show will run at the Melfort Agricultural Society Grounds on the west end of Wesley Street. A light horse show, the mainstay of any exhibition, will kick off the festivities each day on the grounds at 9 a.m. and run throughout the day. On Friday, following the light horse show, back in town, the always-popular parade will make its way down Main Street at 10:30 a.m. For the young, and young at heart, a petting zoo will be opening at 1 pm. each day of the exhibition in the barn area. An hour after that, at noon each day, the exhibit hall will be open to the public to delight in the collection of art, preserves and the collection of creations. At the exhibition grounds, each day at 1 p.m. (12 on Saturday and Sunday) the midway will open up for kids and adults alike. During the three days of the exhibition, the museum will be making butter and baking bread with their brick oven and selling it to hungry fair-goers. They will also be handing out lemonade and coffee refreshments in the pioneer village. The museum will also be holding rope making, blacksmith and grist mill demonstrations.

The chariots will be at 2 p.m. each day. A crowd favourite last year, motocross races will be coming back to a newly enhanced track. (7:30 Friday, 5:00 Saturday and Sunday). The always-exciting chuckwagon races get under way at 6:30 p.m. on all three days. The Grandstand shows will get under way at 8:30 p.m. each night and feature a different act. Friday night will feature a Kelly Taylor a comedian, Saturday night acapella group Hoja, Sunday night Indigo Circus. Fireworks are planned to light up the sky Saturday night. Tickets for the exhibition are $13 for adults, $6 for children 6-12 per day. Admission is free for kids under 6. Advance three-day adult passes are $25 until July 9th and regular priced 3 da child passes are $15 A ride all-day Midway bracelet is $32 in advance and $40 at the exhibition. Advance ticket outlets are Home Hardware, Pharmasave, HiFashion in Tisdale where the tickets are sold for $33 and $32 at the Melfort Agricultural Society Office. ADVANCED RIDE is $32 at the MAS Office. Advanced ride bracelets are sold until July 19th at 12:00 NOON. They will be $40 at the ticket booth. Wristband sales will start at opening and be cut off at 8:30 pm daily.
