Back Home Again tour with Daniel O’Donnell S U B M I T T E D BY S A S K T E L C E N T R E
One of Ireland’s best loved artists, Daniel O’Donnell has announced that he will return to Canada this fall. The tour will see the record breaking chart singer play SaskTel Centre on Saturday, September 16. Daniel burst into superstardom in the USA and Canada in 2002 with his first ever PBS special – The Daniel
O’Donnell Show. That began a special relationship between Daniel and PBS and since then, he has recorded a further thirteen specials, with ‘Back Home Again’ being his fourteenth one in 2016. The concert also features Daniel’s longterm singing partner Mary Duff. The Irish singer made record-breaking chart history earlier this year by becoming the first recording artist in the history of the UK Artist Album Chart to have
charted at least one new album every year since 1988, an unprecedented and unbroken 30 year span, surpassing everyone from Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones, Madonna and Irish strongholds U2. Along with this, Daniel makes regular appearances in the Billboard World Music Chart. Daniel O’Donnell’s Back Home Again tour hits SaskTel Centre, Sept. 16, 2017.

Win a meet and greet with Darcy Oake! Illusionist Darcy Oake performs June 13, at TCU Place. Oake is a performance artist whose modern interpretation gratifies the hunger of audiences seeking spectacle and nail-biting feats of illusion. Inspired by classic sleights of hand techniques, Darcy transports the crowd to another dimension with exhilarating visuals and logic-defying exploits. After being baffled by an accidental card trick his father – award-winning Canadian sportscaster Scott Oake – showed him at eight years old, Oake delved into the craft. He soon became an international magic champion, at age six-
teen beating out seasoned professionals at various events and winning the coveted People’s Choice Gold Medal in Seattle, Washington. Even before he was legally old enough to enter nightclubs, Oake headlined at the worldfamous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. Today, Oake proudly carries on the tradition of such classic illusionists as fellow Canadian Doug Henning, while adding his trademark grandeur and charm. Oake has emerged in the world of illusion as a new generation of contemporary mysticism. He’s performed throughout Europe, from Paris
to London, and across North America, from the heart of Times Square in New York City to the Las Vegas strip. Buy a ticket to the show and you will be entered into a draw to upgrade you and a friend’s ticket. Don’t be surprised if Darcy plays some tricks on you backstage! Contest closes June 12 at 11:59pm. Winner will be contacted June 13. Don’t miss this thrilling show at TCU Place, June 13, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.tcutickets.ca. Submitted by TCU Place
