Judas Priest’s tour hits SaskTel Centre With Judas Priest’s latest studio album, Firepower, confirmed as one of the most successful of the band’s entire career, landing in the top five of 17 countries (including their highest chart placement ever in the U.S., at #5), demand to see the legendary metal band in concert is higher than ever. Saskatoon headbangers will get their chance to experience the legendary band at SaskTel Centre, June 8, with the classic metal band Uriah Heep as support. “Metal maniacs - Judas Priest is roaring back to the USA for one more blast of Firepower! Firepower 2019 charges forth with new first time performances born out of Firepower, as well as fresh classic cuts across the decades from the Priest world metalsphere,” says the band in a release. “Our visual stage set and light show will be scorching a unique, hot, fresh vibe - mixing in headline festivals, as well as the in-your-face venue close ups. Seven-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood brings her Cry Pretty Tour to Canada, which includes a performance in Saskatoon at SaskTel Centre on Friday, May 31. One of the most successful artists in any genre, Carrie Underwood has sold more than 65 million records worldwide. The Cry Pretty Tour 360 will feature songs from Underwood’s latest album of the same name, which was released last September, including the singles “Cry Pretty” and “Love Wins”. Known for her powerful vocals, Underwood burst onto the scene after her American Idol win in 2005. She’s had numerous number one hits including crossover singles “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats”. Other number ones include “Wasted”, “Just a Dream”, “Cowboy Casanova”, “Good Girl”. Underwood is also known for her philanthropy. She has supported causes such as Habitat for Humanity, the Canadian and American Red Cross, and Stand Up to Cancer. This tour $1 from every ticket sold will go to Danita’s Children Underwood will be joined on tour by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.
