olice believe they may make more arrests in relation to the murder of Anthony O’Grady, whose semi-naked body was found bound on Thomas Armstrong Oval in Wickham last month. The revelation follows the arrest of a 49-year-old and an 18-year-old last week, over their alleged involvement in the incident. Police arrested and charged 49-year-old, Sidney Regan, with concealing a serious offence last Wednesday, after executing a search warrant at a residence in Lindsay Street, Hamilton, where officers allegedly located bank cards belonging to Mr O’Grady and a mobile phone. He was granted conditional bail in Newcastle Local Court later that day, but as of last Thursday, had not been able to raise the $1,000 surety needed for his release. He will reappear in Newcastle Local Court on Monday, May 12. Following the arrest of Mr Regan on Wednesday, the next day police arrested an 18-year-old on Hunter Street and later charged him with murder, aggravated robbery and the theft of Mr O’Grady’s car and boat, which were found by police on Ash Island. The accused, who was 17-years-old at the time of the alleged offence and hence, cannot be named, was refused bail in Broadmeadow Children’s Court, to reappear on Monday, June 2. Police believe the teen was known to Anthony
